Except you don’t believe in Freedom of Choice.
I can respect his choice but that is not the same thing as affirming it. Especially with a petty ulterior motive. Petty because I don’t truly believe political differences make you dangerous. Not even fascists. Fascists are only dangerous when enough people agree with them. Where the left (and now those on the right) get it wrong is they think the idea of silencing ideas prevent their spread. But an idea that is called dangerous only enhances one’s curiosity of enticement.
This is why I think communism and socialism have persisted for so long and why I’m shaking my head that Marxism is once again the scapegoat of the reason why people should vote Republican. Which is fine until it’s legislated. Call me crazy, or more accurately conservative, but when the government tells me something needs to go or people need protection from it, I get very skeptical.
“So why do try to impose your censorship in it.”
Because while I too am an opponent to censorship, the problem is people on both sides, or even on the same side, are very eager to use such tools liberally against other conservatives they deem radical.
I’ve been censored, had several of my comments deleted, and I’d argue I was using terms people now deem derogatory in an objective criticism rather than subjective. Because I said a word, a whole argument was deleted. But I have also lashed out with subjective and insulting criticisms. And while I disagree with the idea of censorship, I can still respect those who use it. Even to unwittingly silence their own conservatives such as myself.
