Nonviolent Pro-Life Protesters vs Pregnancy Center Firebombers; Blatant Good Vs Evil!

Why is it a Federal case at all? This stuff should be handled at the local level. The big takeaway from my posted meme is exposing the partisan politics of arsonists receiving no punishment while peaceful protesters are being brought to trial.

It's all because the Dems and Biden passed a law that makes it illegal to exercise your 1st amendment right to peacefully protest at an abortion clinic. I'm still trying to figure out what clause in the Constitution gives the federal government to make such legislation. Perhaps is the commerce clause. FDR stretched that one to death trying to pass laws the federal government has no right to pass. Dems and many Republicans have twisted that clause even worse ever since.

Because when Dems make their edicts they want the entire nation to suffer, not just one state. That's why they tried, and fortunately failed, to pass a nationwide law to allow you to murder babies up to and immediately after birth.

Your 1st Amendment right to Free Speech and civil protest end when you endanger someone else.

He 1) invaded the clinic and 2) blocked access with his body, chains, and furniture to medical procedure rooms.

He could have continued his 1st Amendment rights by standing outside and shouting. Or waving a sign.

But he decided to trespass into a clinic and block access to medical care. That's not free speech.

He? Who's he? This meme is about 22 people, not 1 person. If "he" invaded the clinic and blocked access then he should be tried for trespassing and any other crimes "he" may have committed.

From what I hearing these people are not causing any disturbances. I hear they have a truck that has ultra sound equipment in it so that they can show any woman who might be interested that she is carrying human life in her. They also pass out flyers. And that is it. They don't do anything else. They claim they have been successful in preventing women from getting an abortion. Not all women and only a percentage of the women that will talk to them. There is no force or coercion, just information.

I haven't read the FACE act and I don't know exactly what is in this bill but I do know that Mark Houck was arrested, tried under the FACE act but the judge threw the case out. I don't know anything about his trial but I would assume that the judge recognized that his arrest was a violation of Houck's 1st amendment rights. Then a year later the FBI raided his house and arrested him for the same "crime", violating his 5th amendment rights against double jeopardy.

Wow, you'd think the Federalist would write better headlines.

Because even their own article contradicts that headline. It's the DOJ announcing indictments.

NOT the FBI.

Also. Just going to point this out here: the cases being highlighted by the Federalist all happened 2 years ago. In 2020.

So. In real world time, it's been 2 years of investigation then an indictment by a grand jury.

Given that time line, 2 real-person years, why would you reasonable expect the DOJ to have assembled a case and brought it before a Grand Jury for a crime that happened only a few months ago?

I mean, if the DOJ is "targeting pro-lifers" then we can assume that they're working at an extra-fast pace to get those indictments. And it still took them 2 years.

Why would you expect something within a few months?

That's wildly unreasonable.

Unless, of course, you're not really that concerned about the pursuit of justice and are using the unrelated cases as political props to make it look like pro-lifers are somehow persecuted?

Let's be honest- that's exactly what's happening here.

Yeah I think that headline I read should have been changed. They arrested and the DOJ indicted them. Sorry about that.

But the point is unconstitutional actions were taken against 22 people by this government.
