you might not have watched the Jan. 6 riot on TV, but the capitol police removed the barricade fencing and voluntarily opened the doors for the protesters. There was only 1 window broken by someone in the crowd throwing something, but the crowd of people walked up the steps and marched around the halls for 30 minutes before going into the offices and chambers, it was all televised and reported live.

Certainly, the crowd quickly became a mob and riotous, but a riotous protest is a far cry from the definition of an "insurrection". No one was armed, except for the police, who did shoot and kill an unarmed woman, with no warning.

If the Left consider Jan. 6 an "insurrection", then they should also call the similar riots at the White House on May 30, 2020 and in D.C. on Jan. 21, 2017 as well as the Federal court building attacked and set on fire in Portland in 2020 and even recent protests outside Supreme Court Justices homes', which is specifically prohibited by law.

That is a deflection and a big "What If"? statement. You're trying to shift the focus. We're talking about what actually did happen, not a made up scenario you are trying to redirect us to.

You know why I mentioned that. You guys seem to be all over the insurrection and want Trump in jail for it, but yet you guys seem to bat an eye when it comes to the thousands of people that burned buildings, cars, and small businesses so now those innocent people have to struggle to survive because their livelihood was taken away for a stupid reason.

I don't think you know why I put that meme. What was the reason you put your original meme for? If it was to show how "destructive" the "insurrection" was, then I was trying point out that BLM had done way more harm than this... yet apparently you think the insurrection was just as harmful?

I agree that those people were dumb to do something like that, and I don't know why this topic is still being talked about, but you should still agree that BLM has done much more damage than these people did.

The people who stormed the capitol building did so with the intent to overthow the legitimately elected President of the United States. They did it at the direction of Donald Trump.

BLM has done nothing on that scale. Not even if you compressed every march, every protest that turned into a riot, or every arson into that same amount of time on Jan 6th.

Yeah, I agree, they weren't trying to overthrow a democracy or were trying to do something because of Jan 6. They were doing those things for a reason, but are approaching the problem in the most hypocritical way possible. They want cops to stop killing them by ruining the lives of innocent people who had nothing to do with their problems?? They're being just dumb as the people who tried to overthrow a capital building.

If I ever say "all lives matter" then I don't agree with BLM. I agree that ever single person matters, no matter what race or gender you are. Not all cops kill people, and it's not their job unless it's for self defense... so really only few cops kill people...

Or it could've been staged to make Republicans look bad... Trump never said "Storm the capitol and overtake the government!" He was saying to take back our freedom that the Democrats are trying to take away. They were most likely not intending to overthrow our democracy. At most, they were just radical Trump fan dummies who worship him and took what he said the wrong way. Those people would've never been able to overthrow the capitol. That would take actual planning and not storming.

BLM has done way more harm than these people. During Jan 6, maybe 2 people died (I don't even think that) but during the riots hundreds of people died or had the livelihood taken away. Even if there 20 "insurrections" that would never beat all the destruction BLM caused.
