Never have I ever seen a comment down-voted into oblivion from someone on the right. This stream is a primarily right wing echo-chamber.

Not only is the main politics stream a right-wing echo chamber, the amount of the lopsidedness is crazy. No liberal memes at all until p. 14, and the next one not until p. 25.

If 3 out of every 4 top politics memes were right-wing, that would be lopsided enough. This is more like 99 out of 100. So few liberal memes that liberal memes may as well not exist.

Aaaand that’s why we have PoliticsTOO. So liberals on the site can actually have a community and a voice. :)

Maybe they're aren't that many liberals, rapid inflation, food instability, new wars and fake presidents have been known to cause people to get upset. The left is just so insane they believe being normal is right wing because they (Leftist) aren't normal. Did you ever think of that?

I can see how this stream definitely could give someone an impression that there aren't many liberals.... But I can assure you, it's been overwhelmingly right-wing for years....years before President Biden was elected anyway.

One possibility that I've pondered is that maybe a bunch of the people who got kicked off Twitter, Facebook, etc ended up here. PoliticsToo might leech some of the libs away from here too idk.... Not sure when exactly that stream was started nor the effect, but it seems possible.

Eh.. I'm not really into politics_too. In real life people on different sides and opinions kinda have to interact. And I kinda think if I frequented that stream I'd be choosing to put myself in my own bubble. I also wonder what it would be like if that stream did not exist... would the people there leave the political meme arena entirely? or would they come here and it would be more balanced? Idk. I don't really make that many memes anyway so maybe I'm part of the problem as far as the unbalance.

Apparently for some people on the right, even 99 out of 100 is not enough! ......(hence the real_politics stream)

Yeah, the motivation behind Real_Politics seems to be that some political memers decided the politics main stream is too “Leftist” so they had to create a private stream with their own mods. Which seems silly to me, because again, right-wing memes dominate on politics stream 24/7/365.

But it’s a free country!

Try again. Conservative content is actually favored and promoted. Platforms like Twitter bend over backwards to accommodate them. But if you violate website terms anyway by being a total jackass, it can’t be helped.
