I Used to go out that way all the time when I was apprenticing for my welding Union, I used to want to move out that way, but now I am thinking west to Iowa , Sioux City is beautiful. Every time I think about move though.. man I think about the pizza here.. and I just can't do it. LoL

During Winter there was a news story about a college student that has one of the nastier bone conditions.(Very brittle) and is wheelchair bound. Anyway nobody was interested in keeping the sidewalks clear. Not her fellow students, not the teachers, and the local government wasn't interested in enforcing the law about keeping sidewalks being kept properly shoved.

If you add in the allegedly criminal income of bribes and what-not, they gave less than one-one hundredth of one percent to charity.

How do you know they're not there on Tuesdays & Fridays?

Why would you think they would only be there on the days and times that you are there?

you know since this is a legitimate question - I won't leave the snarky response. I'll tell you how I know, after 10 years of doing it, meeting and knowing the people , sometimes covering for them and them covering for me on different days , Over the time I been there at every point in the day and night - Monday through Sunday- the people that volunteer are not self absorbed atheists , It is always older men , and women from the Church, Off duty cops, and of course the priests that run the shelters. Lefts don't have what it takes to give to the needy , they only give a damn about and support what the current hot issues are.. they have completely abandoned the disabled and the homeless. You don't have to take my word for it, check out a local shelter around where you live and volunteer for a few hours, and if you don't see what I seen and see , then I'll be happy to admit I am wrong.

Why would an atheist volunteer at a church charity? and if you're all "to help the poor!" you've skipped past the church part again.

As an atheist, I can assure you that I do contribute money and time/labor to charitable works but I carefully vet them to make sure they're not run by religious groups.

And you've answered why you don't see BLM activists at a group where off-duty and retired cops hang out.

The cops are there.

BLM is about reducing police violence against Black people.

Why would they volunteer at places where those exact people are hanging out?

Like most conservatives, you have made a basic and flawed assumption: your experience is both universal and the only one. That your life and time is the only possible experience to have. This simply isn't true.

We can flip this around with a statement like this: I've been working at the atheist of Austin food pantry on every Wednesday for 10 years. In those 10 years, not one single Catholic has shown up to help. That must mean that all Catholics hate the poor, are lazy, and never do anything for charities at all. Ever.

See how that's flawed? I have evidence- my personal experience. But now I've made it universal and applied it to every single Catholic person based on my very narrow experience. And that's not right.

Just because you've never met someone at a charity works who has openly spoken about being an atheist does not mean atheists or "leftists" don't work at charities or contribute to them.

It's not like we wear special hats or t-shirts.

Oh BLM doesn't go help homeless Because there are cops helping them" So, blm doesn't want to see cops helping their brethren huh?
