He's a communist who has always been trying to rebuild the USSR, which makes it so confusing when lefties claim to hate him, when he's fulfilling their ideals.

Pretty sure most of us would turn that down without a second thought . . . no idea where that hug has been prior, but probably no where good.

Not really. Twitter has a policy that world leaders have some leniency on having a platform to voice their views. No matter how nefarious they may be because the idea is they will not remain leaders for long if they continue to thwart the will of the people.

While Trump’s POTUS account was temporarily suspended, pending the peaceful transition of power; which Trump was not adhering to; theoretically Trump would have a Twitter account again IF he manages to get a second term.

What a lame reason to give Trump a second term.

Just so he can tweet again.

"Didn't you hear AquaSpider say that he leaned liberal and agreed?"

His political beliefs do not change the facts nor my perception of him being wrong that the OP made a good point.

"Let me hop onto this because I would like to give my opinion: you seem to be hinting that Trump is no different than the other bad world leaders, is that correct?"

Correct. His inconsistent response to Covid, claiming Mail-In ballots would be abused, doing nothing to prevent the supposed abuse of mail-in ballots, and his rhetoric that lead to not only Republicans losing their senate seats but the riot at the capitol on January 6th. Trump is a bad leader.

"Then perhaps they should all be treated the same."

Trump is not currently a world leader. So, they are.

"I believe we can all agree certainly that Biden has fully transitioned into being the president without argument, so now that the transition is over, Trump should be unbanned."

Why? Putin does NOT have a Twitter account. The President of Russia does. By Twitter's logic, the only way Trump can have a Twitter account is when he becomes President or a world leader of another country.

"However, if Twitter refused to do so for whatever reason they may give, they ought to prove that this is actually a rule that they take seriously and enforce it."

Twitter bans people every day who are not world leaders. Like Trump.

" For instance, if they pull the "Trump is a dictator so we banned him" card"

They never did. They suspended his Twitter account after inciting violence. After trying to supersede this suspension, it lead to his permeant banning.

"then they need to play their whole deck and ban other dictators as well."

As has been stated, Twitter has a liency polic on world leaders. Trump is no longer a world leader.

""Trump is telling misinformation so we banned him.""

Trump spread multiple instances of misinformation and was never banned.

"They are going to have to get rid of all the other conspiracy theorists as well, including Flat Earthers and radical anti-vaxxers."

They do. Hence why so-called "right-wingers" complain they are not allowed on Twitter or Facebook.

"Twitter will need to ban other corporations"

Donald Trump is not a corporation. He is a person.

Again, Trump wasn't permanently banned for causing harm. He was permanently banned for breaking Twitter's rules.

Mmm, I think I see what you mean, especially with that President of Russia example. However, I'd still like to point out a few things.
One: I never said that Trump was a corporation, I had originally said that if Twitter says the reason they banned Trump is that he caused significant harm to society, then corporations whose products cause significant harm to society should also be banned (however you gave the reason that Trump was banned so I am just correcting some of your points).
Two: I noticed you said that Twitter banned Trump because of the rules and so I did a little research and noticed Twitter had a blog entry that gave their reason behind the ban.

Here is the link: https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2020/suspension

To save you the trouble of citing all of the blog's evaluations in your reply, I will give a rebuttal to all the points in my reply to this comment.

Yes, I appear to be wrong for why they did it. It seemed, at the time, that it was because he was trying to evade their ban. But the statement Twitter made, does not align to what I said. Still, their reasons appear to be that Trump appeared to use their platform to incite violence. Whether you agree with this assessment or not, this is still consistent with their policy. If the other world leaders were using Twitter this way, and they remained banned for such a thing, then there would be an inconsistency. However, I’ve found no evidence to support the claim.

I maintain that Twitter would allow Trump access to their platform again if he resumed his status as a world leader.

So Twitter favors leaders for not being American?

Plus Putin is the president of Russia, so that is a really lame attempt to disprove that point.

And Trump didn't cause the riot. The Chinese Communist Party (who is allowed to tweet) overthrew their own government and they just claim that their country should be free to run however they want to run it, but they really just mean how 10 people want to run it. If Trump were to have caused the riot, this still would outdo him.

And Putin conquered another country. No matter how you spin it, you can't escape the fact that liberal bias is insane on social media and Hollywood these days.

They banned Trump while he was president, not after. Another country actually banned Twitter because they were offended that a social media company would be disrespectful enough to ban its own president.

All flat earthers aren't right wingers, so before you just lump everything you think is stupid with the right, why don't you try to find information out?

And being anti-vax doesn't have to come from stupidity. Personally I find the left's reaction to people who are scared of vaccines to be very bizarre. It's almost as if they demand everyone take them, which suggests there's an ulterior motive (which I'm not saying is the whole microchip straw man). That's not how treatments for things usually work. You don't call people idiots for not being sure about the unstable safety of a product (especially the covid vaccine, which I know from up close is not always safe). And if doctors do that, it's time to find a new doctor.

I actually spent today reading what the President of Russia account had to say about their war in Ukraine.

The funny thing is, while it reads more like a stream of journal headlines. I don’t think Putin even bothers to Tweet. Which is natural, as he likely sees Twitter as just another undesirable Western influence. But Russia isn’t even using Twitter to condemn Ukraine or make public it’s reasons the “special military operation”.

So he technically isn’t breaking Twitter’s rules.

“So Twitter favors leaders for not being American?”

Strawman. The POTUS account is still active.

“They banned Trump while he was president, not after.”

Yes, after Twitter summarized his tweets may have lead to violence that occurred at the Capitol.

“Another country actually banned Twitter because they were offended that a social media company would be disrespectful enough to ban its own president.”

That was Nigeria. Twitter suspended the Nigerian’s President accounts much for the same reason it did Trump’s as the President’s tweets contained misinformation and appeared to be using the platform to stir up civil war in it’s own country. By this story alone, it proves Trump is not the exception but a victim of his own making for breaking Twitter’s rules. On 12 January 2022, the Nigerian Government lifted the ban after Twitter agreed to establish “a legal entity in Nigeria during the first quarter of 2022”.

“ All flat earthers aren't right wingers, so before you just lump everything you think is stupid with the right, why don't you try to find information out? ”

I’ve made no such claim nor will I bother to try to assume what point you’re making here. You’re very free to clarify as long as it is in the context of the topic.

“You don't call people idiots for not being sure about the unstable safety of a product”

Agreed but this has nothing to do with Trump’s ban nor my assessment of his character. My assessment, of course, being completely irrelevant.

"No matter how nefarious they may be because the idea is they will not remain leaders for long if they continue to thwart the will of the people."

That's not true. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or the Kims all existed People tried to flee from them and some succeeded and others failed. Hitler only died quickly because America got involved. Germany wasn't going to stop him. China wasn't going to stop Mao. They were trained to think he was God, no matter how despicable they thought he was to them. And Stalin and the Kims (and ofc Mao too) just killed for the sake of it. Very few people (especially not the poor) enjoyed this type of life. But there wasn't a darn thing they could do about it, since the army was thoroughly run by the leaders who had all the money.

Discriminatory policies are indeed liberal in nature. As are those who support them.

Please go back to or stay in school.

Then come back when you know how to contribute to a debate. I refuse to reply further if you insist on making this about just you or me.

That is not objective reasoning and has no basis for logical discussion.

Have a good day.

Thanks for playing.

You don’t have to go to school. But if you want to have a civil discussion, you’ll certainly benefit from the education. Without it, you show up to a metaphorical gun fight without a gun, or even a knife. You’ve already lost if you have nothing to say about what I’m talking about and dismiss me with your petty need to label people.

And I’m not going anywhere.

And my game is attacking the argument, not the arguer.

That’s your game. And you’re only playing yourself.

Twitter will need to ban other corporations that advocate unhealthy, dark habits, meaning that they are going to have to boot vaping ads and most likely alcohol sponsorship as well.
