If you could explain, in detail, how shutting down a pipeline THAT DOES NOT EXIST would cause Russia's economy to crumble?

Then, while you're at it, explain how a pipeline THAT DOES NOT EXIST would cause gas prices to rise in the US?

Because remember we say gas prices like this in 2008. Under President Bush.

was the non-existent pipeline also responsible for those prices?

Are you saying that the oil pipeline from Russia to Europe does not exist? Are you also saying that the Keystone XL pipeline doesn't exist either?

Look, I know the Keystone pipeline hasn't been completed but major sections of it does exist. I have no idea about the Russian pipeline. But if it doesn't exist then Biden is just blowing smoke.

IF we were still producing our own oil the price of gas would depend on the market forces within the US. But now that we have to buy foreign oil AGAIN, the price is determined by what OPEC and others sell their oil for. Arab nations don't always follow market forces. Many times they'll raise the price of a barrel of oil just because they don't like what we are doing. Right now, countries like Iran are more friendly with Russia, so they are punishing the western world with a higher price.

IF we produced our own oil, like we did under Trump, then gasoline prices would follow the typical supply and demand model. Our gasoline would be much less than it is now.

Now do you understand?

The Nord was close to finished. That was one of the justifications I heard on the news when Biden lifted the Nord sanctions.

Why would the democrats use the filibuster to stop sanctions on the pipeline?
1 up, 2y
Of course you are right that this sanction is not sufficient to cause the Russian economy to crumble. Nice way to avoid the simple fact that one of the very first things that Biden did to America is the exact same thing that he is now doing to Russia as a sanction.

Of course it does. But asking for logic, reason, and self-awareness from the left is like asking for blood from a turnip.

Are you still talking about the one that ships Canadian oil straight through us and exports it into the gulf?

Good question thesis.

Regardless, Joe's actions against US energy production were swift, severe, and started the day he took office.

Clearly one of the Brandon administration's talking points is that there are 9K open drilling permits right now.

So a question for you would be, how many open drilling permits were there when he took office?
10 ups, 2y
Permits don't equal oil, only permission to research and explore. A lot of these permits have been deemed worthless by oil companies in that they aren't considered to be oil rich areas, not worth the investment. Essentially, there are 9000 worthless pieces of land, give or take, that the government uses as a talking point. All this while not allowing oil companies to drill where they know oil exists.
3 ups, 2y
I saw one report today, if memory serves, over 31,000, oddly enough they were discussing that very same thing.

We WERE producing enough oil to where we could export it. However the pipeline provided crude oil refineries up and down the pipeline and into Canada. That's why Biden pissed off Canada because he cut off one of their oil supplies.

It just really disgusts me that we now have an illegal president whose foreign puppet masters are actively working on the destruction of America. As much as the left blindly hated Trump, at least he wasn't trying to destroy the country and he worked for the American people. And when you tell a Democrat that they laugh at you because they are so utterly blind to what is happening. At this rate we won't last as a nation until 2030. But then that is what the UN's Agenda 2030 is all about.

Proper punctuation goes a long way in making the calling of others, "idiots," more convincing.

"and" not "an"

If President Trump did something as heinous as you are accusing him of then why has he not been convicted of anything?

"Keytone was to be built, it wasn't an isn't operational."

Ha - you said "keytone" how cute, I didn't catch that the first time, just that you didn't use and but instead used an.

What was that phrase, something about a "victim violin"? Why are you crying out to the powers that be so much lately, have you been punished? Not liking it?

BTW - your visual aids didn't display correctly, no skills on your part.

In this most recent kerfuffle, I apologized (I have egg on my face). I guess that I won't bother doing that in the future if you're going to hold a grudge like a teenage girl.

No, the incident that we had a few months ago you finally figured out that you were in the wrong after rereading the transcript about four or five times. I can see how easy it might be for you to be confused though, you probably find yourself in this type of situation a lot with your winning personality.

Also, in our recent exchange you say that I had a go at you except that the very first person to person comment between either of us on that meme was you saying to me "You've been getting away with slaughter for over a year..."

So, who's having a go at who again? Take a swing at me I'll swing back.

Read much or just knee jerk? (See what I did there - no, probably not, it's you.)

Once again, I ask you to REREAD VERY SLOWLY the comment with the Titanic on it - I clearly referenced the egg on face situation and that was an apology that was obviously wasted on you.
1 up, 2y
aww, was that yet another reply from you yet again I didn't get around to reading yet once again? It's almost like I keep missing them all except when I bump into one by accident. You'd think I had you blocked or something... tee hee

Can't close something that never existed.

Remember?

Keystone hadn't even been built yet.

So...what oil would it be pumping? Invisible oil?

And whose oil was that?

American? or... was it ...Canadian?

Yes. And canceling it wouldn't be a punishing sanction that sends their economy into a spiral.

Entire economies of massive industrialized countries do not rest on construction projects for fossil fuels and natural gas.

Try explaining how something that hasn't been built yet would cripple the economy of a developed country?

Or cause inflation.

Go on.

Think about it. For like 10 straight minutes. Work it out.
1 up, 2y
HURT, not cripple. Still got that reading problem eh?
Russia isn’t a developed country. Oil is its main export.

Think about it. Work it out.
