How about we just abolish wage slavery altogether? Also, while communist countries are often despotic, they technically are not controlled by dictators, decisions are made within the politburo. Even the CIA agreed this was the case with Stalin. What was more prevalent was a cult of personality.

There is some truth that politicians in socialist countries enjoy elite privileges the rest of the population does not, which isn’t much different than that in the U.S. or any other capitalist country. But their citizens also get more from the government. They have free healthcare and other generous universal programs to better the lives of citizens. When capitalists claim the free market eliminated poverty so drastically, you can actually thank China. China has made a lot of economic progress and by truer measures, has the largest economy in the world.

You keep saying it’s easy for people to evade capitalism. Ask the Zapatistas in Chiapas, Mexico who are battling neoliberal encroachment. Ask people in Africa who produce wealth only for global elites to travel it to the global north. Ask the multiple South American countries we’ve influenced through coups and intervention.

Hitler betrayed Stalin later, not because their opinions were different, but because they both were very similar. Hitler dreamed of a one-kingdom globe run by Nazis and with a capital in Berlin. Stalin dreamed of a one-kingdom globe run by Soviets and with a capital in Moscow. These two plans clearly could not work together, so they fought each other.

I have not read Mein Kampf yet (though I plan to). However, I have read quite a bit of Marx's and Stalin's sayings. Marx and Hitler were actually similar in that they both had Jewish heritage but hated Jews. They both were also extreme racists to many minorities. I wouldn't even say some of the things Marx said about blacks.

Why did the socialists try so badly to fight the Nazis? Why did they organize underground anti fascist resistance movements? How come of all the voters that defected to the Nazis, the Communists and Social Democrats were the least swayed? The Nazis, after the moment of splinter parties, became the country’s dominant right wing party. Hitler worked alongside with conservative parties before coming into power.

The conflicts between the Soviets and Germans are much more complex than identical ideals. The Comintern socialists viewed fascism as another part of class struggle and strategized how to defeat it. They even went so far as to suggest the liberal Social Democrats were “social fascists” for being passive on the serious ideological and human threat.

He put an end to a potential socialist revolution and had them rounded and executed.

That figure comes from the Black Book of Communism, which has come under intense scrutiny because they include deaths from war and starvation which many believe shouldn’t be included. Regardless, many authors of the book have since disputed and refuted it and that statistic specifically. It has been claimed that the main author of the book was obsessed at arriving at a number around 100 million.

I haven’t encountered a single communist, and I talk to a lot, even the Marxist-Leninists, who claim Pol Pot as a genuine communist leader. The Communist Party in Cambodia even called themselves “revolutionaries”, not communists. Pol Pot also strayed from traditional Marxist-Leninist policy, which suggests he wasn’t truly communist. Vietnam, another communist nation, invaded Cambodia to take over the government and install a different Marxist-Leninist party.

Your claim that Castro killed millions is laughable. Even the liberal statistics put his death toll at a few thousand. Chavez didn’t “murder” millions either. Lmfao. He also wasn’t a communist, but did try to advance socialism in Venezuela. There were some poor monetary decisions made by his government, and the economy relied too heavily on oil, so when oil prices came down, they could no longer afford the programs Chavez put into place.

In any given year, between 1 and 3 million die from lack of clean water or water-related diseases. Also every year, 9 million die of starvation, even though we produce enough to feed all. From vaccine-preventable diseases, 1.5 million die every year. And more than 4 million die each year from exposure to air pollution. So that’s anywhere between 15.5 to 17.5 million deaths every year due to the failures of capitalism. After about 6 years, capitalism kills more than communism supposedly did in 80 years.
