Just FYI Octavia, having been a fairly hardcore liberal in my youth, I think I have some insight into what they do and don't understand. Sure, liberalism has changed beaucoup since then, but I think I can still read the room.

I can actually answer that, If a Christian loses their faith, which is what becoming an atheist means, they must have not truly understood what being a Christian and what faith is in the first place. If something happens , say a loved one dies, and the person left behind feels that God doesn't exist because they may have prayed and prayed for their loved one to be okay - and their prayers was not answered .. so they become an atheist .. never understood faith. The base of Christianity is faith, so instead of disavowing God , maybe have faith that God is looking after their loved one, where ever they may be . just for an example.

well, that is exactly the point, faith is not based in evidence , that is what faith is - belief in something that has no physical evidence. Faith is spiritual, if someone doesn't understand that you can have faith without evidence , then they don't understand Christianity, if they feel they need evidence to validify their faith .. that is basic misunderstanding of Christianity and of faith. If someone needs evidence to have faith , they don't understand Christianity

BTW - just to be clear this my understanding is through simple reading , research and interest. I am not a Christian , nor do I follow any organized religion. I do have spirituality and feel there is something out there greater than we could ever possibly understand, but not listed in any current religions. I don't think man could ever truly grasp the idea of something that exists outside of time , space and matter.. or try to visualize something we don't have anything to compare it against. I like the story of the two gold fish in a bowl , one gold fish says he believes that there is a place full of fish and life and water something far far away, and the other gold fish says "prove it". How can a gold fish, living in a bowl, prove something outside of its ability to attain?

Lemme explain something else. To determine whether you are male or female you have one extra X chromosome or one extra Y chromosome. If you have an extra of the male gene you’re a man and if you have an extra of the female gene you’re a woman. Can’t change dna to change your gender. And btw, with this knowledge this also proves there’s only two genders.
