They migrated here because of a regime change and some milk sandwich of a president opened the borders.  Last year border crossings and arrests were down 90%...this year they are on course for a record of over 2 million illegal crossings...because of a regime change in this nation and a buffoon opening the border.  And the nation that doesn't take care of its own will eventually not be able to take care of others as well.

I know this is difficult for you, but maybe you should read the entire comment. I said immigration crossings were down 90% under trump. That implies that immigration began before biden. I'm just attributing the current disaster at our border to the milk toast brain president and his lax immigration policies.

E-verify doesn't determine status. If an illegal uses a good number that was stolen then e-verify is useless until confirmed by an outside agency. Can take about a year sometimes...but I already said that. It doesn't help. You obviously have never had to work with this system. It only stops blatant violations, not the majority of offenders. I had one employee we would have to fire every 8 months or so. He'd come back after a week or two with a different name and number and get hired again. That's how easy it is to bypass e-verify.

Makes for good talking points.  They do f**k up the construction industry though.  They don't take away the real GOOD jobs, but if they're capable of getting fake ss#s they artificially lower the hourly rates of citizens by being willing to work for far less.  A lot of small companies go out of business due to being priced out of competition.  They won't be coming for my job ever, unless they get educated and legal, then throw years of experience that you can't teach into their resume. By then I'll be retired.

They're not breaking any laws. If an illegal provides a SS# the employers aren't allowed to question it. There's a form every employee fills out that's submitted to big brother for review...takes a year. In the meantime you have an illegal working for ya. It's illegal for an employer to refuse an immigrant a job based on suspicion. Hands are tied. You're aware liberals own companies too aren't ya? Or do you just assume liberals and leftists aren't bright enough to start a business?

It went down because Trump also blocked a lot of legal immigration. Now we have a labor shortage because white conservatives don't want to work hard for little money.

That's just dumb.  It went down because Trump enforced a law...one passed by Democrats by the way.  We had a labor shortage under Trump as well, because businesses were trying to grow and couldn't find enough "qualified" workers, the kind you get from illegal border crossings.  The pandemic caused an even greater shortage because those people don't want to go back to jobs they already had while collecting more from the government to stay home.  Once those benefits completely expire, they'll go looking, probably to no avail as others are gradually stepping into their old jobs.  Illegals don't fill that many good jobs anyway, having to work under the table and all.  Their effect is negligible on the overall economy.

That’s simple enough it has to do with partition at the end of WW2 and who occupied the north? Oh yeah the soviets, so the North was never given a chance at capitalism. Read up on your history. We fought to stop the communists from taking over the country and there is no better example of which system is better. South Korea a thriving economy and democracy and North Korea where millions starve to death.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A new poll by Joint Venture Silicon Valley reveals that a majority of Bay Area residents to consider leaving the region in the next few years.



1,600 registered voters were surveyed from five Bay Area counties. The polls finds that 56% of people surveyed are likely to leave.

A higher percentage than previous polls show a number of factors contribute to the migration out of the Bay Area - high cost of living, homelessness, drought conditions, and wildfires.
