I'm only upvoting to get this message to the front page. Those dogs are IMO service personnel. Locked away in a cage that even the Taliban would think was inhumane, in the heat with no food or water. If this isn't an impeachable offence, I don't know what is.

I've not seen anything substantiating the claim that these were military dogs at all, just memers posting and reposting the same line.

Our military didn't ask to be put in that situation. On the contrary, they advised against it and their warnings were ignored. They would still be there helping people if it weren't for politicians (creepy Joe) sticking to arbitrary deadlines fabricated for the purpose of a 9/11 photo-op. I'll be spending time with many of those troops this weekend, and I can tell you one thing for sure: They hate that bastard for what he made them do.

There's a good chance the animal shelter were/had been trying to get them out of the country to be rehomed. I know a couple of people whose dogs had been strays in other countries.

5,000 Taliban were released in an exchange for 1,000 from the other side. This was supposed to be good faith first efforts to negotiate the peace deal. I honestly have no idea how any President Trump or Biden think they can negotiate with the Taliban and it won't end badly.

Nobody was "abandoned." And they are still trying to get people out. But its not like they left them on the runway. Or even nearby. There are Americans in North Korea right now as well.

And I would not like it if left-wing media told lies about Trump. up until 2015 I was 100% independent. I even voted Republican in several elections. But since Trumpism started, my experience shows me that sources like MSNBC and CNN and the NYT or Washington Post are very biased but they never lie. There have been a couple of errors that they fessed up to. But right-wing media? Actual and literal lies and misinformation.
I confess that I watch Tucker, and Hannity, and Ingraham. Not all the time, but often enough. And the amount of flat-out lies is staggering. The blow-up doll McEneny the other day dropped a BOMBSHELL lie on live TV. Its what I am used to with Fox.

And then there are the people who repeat those lies. And I know exactly where they get those lies from because I've heard them before. And I know that your facts are, at the very least, misinformation. Lastly, I do admit that when trump was in office, I was very critical of his dealings with the Taliban. But I still am. And the role that his "negotiations" with the Taliban played in this most recent "crisis" was definitely greater than zero.

You know, there are still things I read in your response that I think "I don't think that way", "that's not true" etc. But you certainly made some concessions. That is all that is needed when two opposite sides are debating. If there is truth to what the other side is saying then it needs to be acknowledged. Otherwise debating is pointless.

I hate Trumpism. I hope he doesn't run or make primary. Republicans need someone else. He just rubs people the wrong ways too easily. It causes people to think unreasonably in my opinion. For example, "I'm not voting for Trump because he is a racist." There are at least two things I would say people could use to back that up. 1. As far as media...you really have to watch and read it all to get the full story. Even the press conferences.
