That looks about right for here in Northern Taxifornia.

Wow, Octavia makes another completely useless, whiny comment!

So what you're saying is, gas prices vary by location, or by which mega-oil company is selling, right?

Okay, fair enough. But is that really the intent behind your posted reply?

I doubt it. Sure, I could be reading more into it than is there, but it seems pretty clear to me that you're saying gas is cheaper in other parts of Socal, and that PoorBarryakaTaxGuy doesn't really know shit... am I right?

So, back it up! Show something a bit more substantial than a whiny post!

But you never do, do you, Octavia?

All we get is a whiny reply and then nothing. Which of course means your reply is worth just that... nothing.

"That is what I'm saying because it's a fact. I would know, I live there too."

That's not saying much Octavia, because gas prices do in fact vary from location to location based on several factors. Do you ever even think about the bullshit you post? It's either totally inane like that post, or woefully incomplete or inaccurate.

"No you're not right."

Then what exactly were you saying? I can answer that... nobody knows what you're saying, because all you do is whine and say pretty much nothing.

If all you were saying is that gas prices vary based on several factors, you're not contributing anything by stating the obvious.

There had to be more to it, but you won't admit the obvious. No wonder so many people on imgflp find you to be a waste of time.

There has been a shift from the Dubya days. Now more rightists don't want war while the left, except for the brave holdovers, are all for it. Now, the loud minority does screech loudly, so I don't think all hope is lost.

The debt is bipartisan. Both Obama and Trump sent like crazy.

Well.. which is worse... To be seen as a cuck or a war monger?

True... but I'm pretty sure Trump was talking about getting rid of it within 8 years.. Idk if Obama ever made claims so bold(?).

And you might say ya but Trump was only in there for 4 years.. which is true. But during those 4 he was still going the wrong way with it.
1 up, 4y,
1 reply
They are both one of the same. Because a war monger sends in another to do the deed.

Okay, i'll give that to you but sometimes one has to spend when the previous cuts. And I get you might not agree to that. If all military spending gets cut, there's room to distribute that elsewhere, but that can be a Pyrrhic victory if another country waltzes in and dictates terms.

How so?
0 ups, 4y
Bro your photograph clearly shows Joe Biden flying the drone. He is doing the deed! :P no but eh.. not exactly. I mean the logic there doesn't necessarily go both ways.

Theoretically a warmonger might be considered a cuck for the reason you stated.. but a cuck is not necessarily a warmonger.

Idk who's advocating cutting all military but at the very least I think some/more of our resources might be better in other areas..even in defense. A country doesn't necessarily have to physically waltz into America, fire a rocket, shoot a gun, or go into space anymore to f*ck with us..

what you mean "how so?" ..? He said he was going to reduce the deficit (to zero) and he increased it for 4 years.

Good grief, need to look at the thousands of memes we were flooded with all jizzy about Trump threatening Iran and his now true love, Kim,
Trump completing the final stage of Obama's 2014 plan to oust ISIL in 2017,
attacking that abandoned one lane airstrip in Syria because Obomba said red line in the sand,
the soldier surge in Afghanistan,
the Iran false flags in the Gulf Trump sent 150,000 troops on a crap ton of battle ships to go almost go to war over,
bombing in Yemen,
sending 5000 soldiers to Saudi Arabia,
5000 to Syria,
the bombing of General Soleimani,
and how we were that close to nuking Iran in January except Trump's attempts to steal the election were backfiring so badly he might've ended up being sent to an Iranian prison just to get him the flip out of here?

Trump Big Tough Bone Spurs Guy, Obama Wimp, remember?

Sheesh at this rate of amnesia, by this time 2024 the cult will be claiming Trump never ever so much as entered the White House even as a tourist on a guided tour.

Is that why the anti interventionist Tulsi Gabbard was the only democrat to be positively viewed by the right during the dem election?

Part of Trump's appeal was to avoid and de-escalate from endless wars halfway around the world. Now do you have the neo con types that relish war? Sure. But whatever happened to the decidedly antiwar stance of the left? Now they lust for it as it is another form of power and control. Their lust for cancel culture and the punishment of wrongthink on a more massive scale. But as I mentioned, it's the loud minority on both sides that stand out.

Yes, I suppose Trump had to do something after the false flag of Assad 'gassing his civilians', as that was the one thing Assad was warned about, as if Assad had any tactical reason for doing the one act that would draw in the military as he was gaining the upperhand in the war. So Trump threw some bombs at an empty airstrip. Good for him not getting sucked in. I kept hearing the last 4 years about how Trump was going to start a war because of his ego and to gain support by wagging the dog, yet he's the rare Republican prez lately that didn't start one.

No one not completely naive thought Trump could beat the military industrial complex and bring every conflict to a halt. But he did make some ground. But it's tough when you have your own supposed advisers lying to you about troop levels in Syria.
1 up, 4y
Anti interventionist Tulsi Gabbard? Since when? And THAT'S why GOPers liked her?

Gabbard is anti occupationist, and that on account of the toll it took on our soldiers, not those we invaded.
She's all for Obama-styled drone and quick small team military strikes like the kind that took out bin Laden, more of them, in fact.

What enamored Republicans was her thumbing the eye of the DNC and Hilllary, the favoring of the above mentioned military intervention, her disdain for Obama's Iran Nuclear Deal, her repeated criticisms of Obama not saying "Islamic extremism," and her refrain of Islam as the sole source of terrorism - one that should be dealt with, albeit, surgically.

Off the top of my head, but I quite frankly cannot recall a single candidate ever callling for any war, other than bringing up conveniently perpetual bogeymen like the USSR of yore or Iran since 1979. Other than Trump, that is.
His rabble rousing calls for violence, whether on a personal one-on-one "Hit em and I'll pay your attorney fees" to the war stage, as well as this fake cultural war against Deep State MSM Satanic baby eating Martian Reptiloids from the nth Dimension yadda yadda and other crap that appealed to the base intincts of a certain demographic prone to such tendencies IS what got him elected. (I just finally found that out a cpl of weeks ago, as his 'appeal' had till then totally mystified me.)

If Trump 'didn't start' a war, it wasn't for lack of trying.

Again, as I stated earlier:

"Trump completing the final stage of Obama's 2014 plan to oust ISIL in 2017,
attacking that abandoned one lane airstrip in Syria because Obomba said red line in the sand,
the soldier surge in Afghanistan,
the Iran false flags in the Gulf Trump sent 150,000 troops on a crap ton of battle ships to go almost go to war over,
bombing in Yemen,
sending 5000 soldiers to Saudi Arabia,
5000 to Syria,
the bombing of General Soleimani,
and how we were that close to nuking Iran in January except Trump's attempts to steal the election were backfiring so badly he might've ended up being sent to an Iranian prison just to get him the flip out of here?"

Sure, you can claim that all the war fronts he engaged us in weren't actually war - as every miltary acttion by USA since Korea other than Iraq two times and Afghanistan were 'never' wars, but as the addage goes, if it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, then it ain't Trump taking credit for a war Obama had planned out and began in 2014.

Uhhh "none immediately reported".... in his first 3 weeks in office. Yeah sounds legit. I'm sure the MIC is so over itself and the US illegal drone bombings are forever a thing of the past.

Trump probably had close to no control over the drone strikes, likely totally out of the loop on that strike on that Iranian general. You seriously think Joe Boring has any clue about whether it continues or not? Took less than 30 days to strike at "Iranians".

The administrations change, but the MIC remains the same.

And no, not really. I'm well aware of it. What's your point? Just ranting about it and Joe Biden or what?

Theoretically one might be able to argue wars/instability in the middle east affect oil prices but you're claiming presidents have no control over it.. so ya idk where you were going with that.

You lost the plot. I was responding to YOUR post about Joe and drone strikes.

Let me know if/when you have anything else to add about the MIC and/or the commander in chief no longer being considered culpable for their actions. I plan to use that argument on people crying about Joe Biden bombing Syria.
Thanks!

I’ve been saying this for decades, regardless of who occupies the White House. There are a huge amount of things that the president has direct control over. The price of gas is not one of them.

A lot of it is the insane taxes the state of Taxifornia feels compelled to impose on its citizenry. The rest of the money is likely nothing more than greedy oil companies gaming the system. Hell, we have a huge oil refinery right here in the bay area, so our gas should be cheaper than a flyover state with no refinery within hundreds of miles... but it's not.
