Anti interventionist Tulsi Gabbard? Since when? And THAT'S why GOPers liked her?
Gabbard is anti occupationist, and that on account of the toll it took on our soldiers, not those we invaded.
She's all for Obama-styled drone and quick small team military strikes like the kind that took out bin Laden, more of them, in fact.
What enamored Republicans was her thumbing the eye of the DNC and Hilllary, the favoring of the above mentioned military intervention, her disdain for Obama's Iran Nuclear Deal, her repeated criticisms of Obama not saying "Islamic extremism," and her refrain of Islam as the sole source of terrorism - one that should be dealt with, albeit, surgically.
Off the top of my head, but I quite frankly cannot recall a single candidate ever callling for any war, other than bringing up conveniently perpetual bogeymen like the USSR of yore or Iran since 1979. Other than Trump, that is.
His rabble rousing calls for violence, whether on a personal one-on-one "Hit em and I'll pay your attorney fees" to the war stage, as well as this fake cultural war against Deep State MSM Satanic baby eating Martian Reptiloids from the nth Dimension yadda yadda and other crap that appealed to the base intincts of a certain demographic prone to such tendencies IS what got him elected. (I just finally found that out a cpl of weeks ago, as his 'appeal' had till then totally mystified me.)
If Trump 'didn't start' a war, it wasn't for lack of trying.
Again, as I stated earlier:
"Trump completing the final stage of Obama's 2014 plan to oust ISIL in 2017,
attacking that abandoned one lane airstrip in Syria because Obomba said red line in the sand,
the soldier surge in Afghanistan,
the Iran false flags in the Gulf Trump sent 150,000 troops on a crap ton of battle ships to go almost go to war over,
bombing in Yemen,
sending 5000 soldiers to Saudi Arabia,
5000 to Syria,
the bombing of General Soleimani,
and how we were that close to nuking Iran in January except Trump's attempts to steal the election were backfiring so badly he might've ended up being sent to an Iranian prison just to get him the flip out of here?"
Sure, you can claim that all the war fronts he engaged us in weren't actually war - as every miltary acttion by USA since Korea other than Iraq two times and Afghanistan were 'never' wars, but as the addage goes, if it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, then it ain't Trump taking credit for a war Obama had planned out and began in 2014.
