And Trump's executive order from last year will fix that once it takes full effect. It requires that hospitals disclose their prices to everyone, which will drive down the cost of healthcare for everyone. People will choose to go to the cheaper hospitals, and the more expensive ones will have to get competitive or close down.
Not in Canada. The doctors make their money from taxes. You just pay for taxes, and some of it goes to doctors. Technically, you never have to pay for the doctor, because this way they’ll treat you even if you’re homeless.
I believe that is the positive side, and, while I don't want a total welfare state, I think we could have the average person pay for their doctor visits and there could be some welfare programs for people who really need it. Then, we would still get the free market advantages while making sure people who can't afford it can still get help.
Well, yes, but this way, if you’re homeless and need an operation, you don’t pay. Anybody can go to the hospital, money or no. So the people who have money give a little so that they pay less if they need to go and people who can’t pay

I don't generally want to pay taxes for something when a private service could accomplish it instead.
