They would probably like democrats to go back to what they consider to be a more sane version of liberalism. Not even as far back as JFK and his 'ask not...' philosophy, but certainly a version of liberalism that existed since then, but before Trump. Trump drove liberals crazy and there appears to be no recovery in sight for them.

In actuality, it sure seems like the opposite of what your question poses is true. Dems are trying to cancel pubs. They've come right out and threatened them physically, threatened them with job loss and prevention of getting jobs, both of which are threats to their livelihoods. I find your business analogy laughable for a few reasons: a) you assume that Trump's resume is better than Biden's. Exactly how is the resume of a businessman who's filed for business bankruptcy 6 times and has no actual experience in politics better than the resume of a candidate who has decades of experience in politics?
