I'd actually like it if America could succeed; that it actually lived up to the grand ideals that the Republic were founded on. But, sadly, for at least two centuries the robber barons, the "upper class" of American businessmen have duped too many workers into believing that they can be just like them one day; to hate the Other, despite the fact that without African Americans, without Native Americans, the United States would not exist today. I'd like to see Americans realize that government is THEIRS to control, and is there to provide a return for the investment - taxes - they provide to that country. And yes, I believe anyone making half a million or more per year should be heavily taxed; as they were before Ronald Reagan eliminated the wealth tax.

Why aren't the military, the police, firefighters, federal highways and corporate bailouts not seen as socialism, but feeding, housing and clothing the homeless is?

Why is spending more on the military than on making sure the population good, but cutting just ten or fifteen percent of the military budget to fight poverty bad?

Why is letting medicine be a for-profit venture even LEGAL, nevermind allowed, while socialized single-payer tax-dollar funded free healthcare for ALL is considered evil?
