Who's making anything up? These are actual well-known cases. It doesn't matter if it happens in other countries, too. The end result is still the same. Women are being held hostage for their uterus' by men who should have no say, and sometimes having disastrous results for the women.

A woman shouldn't be forced to carry a brain-dead, no chance of survival fetus in her womb because of some repressed, patriarchial law that doesn't take her health into consideration. If all lives really mattered then the lives of mothers should matter too.

Those are horrible instances of medical malpractice. Whitewashing that with anti-abortion laws is intentionally disingenuine.

In the first trimester yes but some states have passed anti-abortion laws in anticipation of Trump overturning Roe v Wade which has caused problems for women whose fetus dies in the second trimester but they're not permitted by law to get a D&C. It's a felony for the doctor to perform it so they make the mother wait it out getting an infection while she miscarries. Doctors have come out against this.
