Yes they are claiming the mantle of science over religion (imagine that). Supposedly singing and chanting are horrific spreaders, as are having services over car radios with followers isolated in their cars in the parking lot (they aren't 6 feet apart with those windows rolled up) Churches large enough to comply with social distancing rules and still hold services have been banned from opening, but Walmart, Home Depot, liquor and pot stores somehow have the ability to scientifically comply better. Mayor DeBlasio of NYC has famously said on numerous occasions that he doesn't care if churches and synagogues ever reopen and has forcefully closed both recently as he participates in painting anti-Trump murals in front of Trump Towers and other very important, scientifically approved events, like safely defunding the police. In fact today Cuomo is attacking the Jewish Orthodox communities again for spreading coronavirus.
Churches in California have been target for bankruptcy by fines imposed for holding services, one church in particular received fines for over $200,000 for one week of services they held trying to get back to as close as normal as they could while in compliance with state guidelines. Other churches are having parking lots closed by government order and the list of pandemic destruction goes on in Idaho, CA, NY, CO, NM, VA, and others.
It's a serious attack on religious liberty protected by the Constitution, however abortion clinics are permitted to perform their "valuable services" for the communities they serve. Not trying to be political, but hey, everything has been made political, so here it is. These violations of the Constitution are almost exclusively occurring in democrat controlled cities, counties and states. Should the democrats conquer DC it will be the entire nation, it's a major objective for their Marxist takeover of the US, just as it was in Romania and other Soviet satellite states where they lined Christians up in the 1950's and ordered them to denounce their faith in Christ or take a bullet to the skull, which many did.
