Former teacher here. The general public has no clue what it’s like to teach.

Unfortunately, the general public also has no idea what it’s like to learn either.

I went through the public school system. There was no help when I needed it and when I didn't I was sitting there waiting for the slowest student in the class to catch up. Public schools suck.

My public school experience wasn’t that bad, as far as the education anyway. My main problems were social issues.

They eventually put me in some kind of experimental work at your own pace class where I consumed all the material and stopped at the college level, where they had no more stuff to learn from. The experiment was shut down though.

Considering that our public "education" system was inspired and founded on old Prussian academic institutions that were designed to train young boys into becoming unquestioning soldiers for the State, we cannot be surprised our schools are perfect breeding grounds for teaching propaganda and the dumbing down of the intellect for the young.
