And that warranted 11 investigations because...it brought Hillary's approval rating down.

No, her attempted coverup brought her approval rating down.

Tell that to Richard Hanna and Kevin McCarthy.

Fingerpointing doesn't solve problems.

The 2000s is pretty recent history, and in a conversation sparked by a meme that is literally about about U.S. troops in Baghdad, the Iraq War is more than fair game. Bush's decision to invade Iraq is directly responsible for a lot of the instability in the Middle East we see today.

Finally: I see conservatives on ImgFlip routinely blaming Democrats in 1860 for the state of the party today so going back to the 2000s is not unfair at all.

We need to understand problems in order to solve them.

I'm not a fan of the Iraq war either. The meme is a comparison of the response to embassy attacks and the fiction about Benghazi.

Still, if you want to start fingerpointing about the instability of the Middle East, you may as well go back to the British Mandate for Palestine. A lot of it started there. True, the decisons made since haven't helped matters, but I don't think blaming solves much.

You really know nothing about US force response, or you wouldn't have posted this entirely FAKE news meme. BHO had how many hours to send some help? 13 at least, and the troops were less than an hour away.

Are you American? Regardless, just how much do you hate America, anyway?

Admit it, you were HOPING this would be another Benghazi, and were sorry that it wasn't. That means you would willingly sacrifice American lives just to be able to trash talk president Trump. Too bad that DJT won't make the same mistakes that BHO and HRC made.

Less than an hour away in a ship in the Mediterrranean NOT on hostile territory? What were they gonna do upon arrival, pull a Lazarus?

All those ingredients differ slightly from having troops already based IN occupied Iraq for a decade and a half, or do you require Google Calculate to figure that one out?

Not like the Niger shindig is Benghazi-worthy neither, now is it?

Good grief, again you write gibberish. What are you talking about with a ship NOT on hostile territory? Besides, the US has forces all over southern Europe that could have responded. OBAMA HAD AT LEAST 13 HOURS!!! HE COULD HAVE SENT THEM FROM FORT BRAGG FOR GAWDS SAKES!!!

Sorry for the SHOUTING, but I'm hoping it will eye-eff you into consciousness and coherent thinking.

I see one of the Embassy attack culprits is identified as a former White House invitee of Barack Obama.

Good point.

With the qualification that if we stop (1) invading and occupying other countries and (2) violating their sovereignty by striking people there anytime we just feel like it after we say we're "mostly" pulling out, we'll never even have the occasion for a Benghazi either.

Nearly all of us? And don't try to play it off as a republican war - it had mainstream support from the democrats, too.

See my meme above.

Even the Democrats who voted for the war realized it was mistake much earlier, would have ended it earlier, and I doubt a Democratic President would have done it at all. The war was Cheney and the other neocons’ brainchild.

Democrats have started more wars in the country's history than republicans have, but sure.. democrats would never have started it

also, the war in afghanistan was started as a result of 9/11. Republicans started the Iraq war, but the enemy started the war in Afghanistan, not republicans. Same as how Japan started the war in 1941, not FDR.

aight. i believe it was the fault of afghanistan children and citizens for 9/11 and the inevitable war.

definitely not oil and military industrial lobbyists

what? do you really think our troops are running around specifically waging war on children and civilians? PS. There's not much oil in afghanistan and we gained no oil from Iraq, either.

It was a mistake. George W. Bush decided to waste billions of dollars of tax revenue and have a war that now is going into its 19th year. He almost lost re-election in 2004 because of it, and now these endless wars should stop.

I'm not a republican (not a DIMocrat, either) but I admit it was a mistake. Good Christ KF89... three times in one day. I better get out of the flip before this becomes a freakin' tidal wave!
