If their message was actually based on facts, I wouldn't have much of a problem with it. It's their right to do so. I don't have to agree with something, but I'll protect their right to do so.

I don't agree with their message because it isn't based on actual statistics and facts, but I don't protest, because I have no need to.

They were protesting during the anthem, but I kind of agree with them. They just decided that a ultra racist national anthem talking about hunting down run-away slaves and torturing them to death, wasn't something they wanted to honor.

Upvoted and agreed but a lot of people do not understand proper etiquette when it comes to the flag either like you aren’t supposed to use its print as decoration like a tablecloth either but people do.

I don't like it when people wear it, but I don't complain too much about that. It's mainly the burning and spitting on and the blatant disrespect for it that bothers me.

I gotcha, yes I can definitely understand that and of course you know why. Although I’d feel like that anyway regardless. And I lived in UK for 3 years. Only in America can this happen and be embraced

Yes, anything that is a US flag that is a ratio of around 1.5 with the stars and stripes. But, a representation of the flag, like a field of blue with any number of stars or red and white bars, can be used as anything due to it not being an actual flag. Obviously you can't cut up a flag and make something out of it. Myself, I wouldn't use a napkin or towel with hints of the flag.

I've been wondering this for a while: Is disrespecting the flag really such a huge problem to be worked up over? No offense,but it's just a piece of cloth. You don't see any other country getting mad if their flag is being disrespected or not

I remember when those NFL players(not that I care about NFL or sports in general) were kneeling in front of the flag,and everyone got apeshit over it,saying:"Boo! How can you disrespect the flag? We hate you!",and I was all like:"What? Are these people f**king kidding me? It's just a flag! A piece of cloth! Who cares of somebody stands or kneels?"

I agree with you, to an extent. The idea is that the flag is representative of the country, sort of like a metaphor. But yeah, people take the physical flags themselves WAAAY too seriously, and some ignore the actual problems in our country at the same time.
