My consevative memes regularly get approved at wierd hours as well. I just think thats just when the mods happen to take a look at and approve them. I don't think there is any censorship going on. (I also have had several conservative nemes never even feature, which made me mad because I thought they were brilliant and would get a lot of upvoted if they were seen)
As for making the front page, yes the imgflip community leans heavily conservative, which means they are more likely to get upvoted than liberal memes, so that's not censorship, that's just what the community is voting for.

I don't think so. But, it's impossible to know what's happening with other memers because we don't see what they see. We regularly check our own memes to see when they've gone from sumitted to featured, how many views and upvotes, ect. But we only see other people's memes when browsing (either in hot or latest). And we don't track the progress of other people's memes.
Also Imgflip has a lot more users than it used to. It used to be fairly easy to have a good meme get noticed. Now though, it is too easy for even a brilliant meme to get lost in the sea of other memes.

Imagine a club where your memes automatically get at least 30 upvotes from your comrades. It's no wonder the bot networks dominate imgflip's front pages! Meanwhile robbing the talented users and and also the viewing public of actually funny memes.

Not that that means any discussion, debate, diatribing, etc, is off the table, but I've avoided any since which might get easily heated.

If I was a bot, my approach would have been the opposite, to use that incident as reason to attack, and keep at it.

Arguments are not won, they just get more ridiculous. So I use a grim pic for a droll comment and laugh at how asinine we all are it that way.

You call him a troll, yet you're the one that made that meme attacking him. Granted, he was a good sport about it, but how does that not make you the troll? I don't mean that as a put down or to be confrontational, but has he or anyone else done that of you? Couple of days later, our resident Gospel quoter, James3v6, posted one about him, as did a nobody newb who had been here a mere two weeks. Mind you, I bumped into those two by accident, so who knows how many were made by these bandwagoners.

Just because some don't agree with him doesn't mean he deserves what he gets. At least he states facts, quotes, cites sources, post links. I don't always agree with him myself, but I'm not going to designate him a troll because of it.

I'm not claiming to be an angel, I say a lot of nasty crap myself. In fact, originally that was my purpose, at least for trolls that harrass others.

I've made multiple memes about laonsite since I've been on imgflip. I think the reason people upvoted that one to the front page had to do with the fact that he'd started to just be confrontational without being factual (fake factual). He was just running around swearing at people for week or two and I guess that got him noticed.

There were jealous trolls. I had a few of them stalk my memes and leave comments to try and compete (the meme was about having a full notification box of laonsite). Trolls want attention. Iaonsite was a good sport initially because of the whole "there is no such thing as bad press", I guess.

The fallout has been rough, I'll admit. I haven't seen him around or the better polititrolls as much since that meme. Even I've been cutting back and my commenting has been halfhearted. I've noticed you've been mostly absent as well (at least this personality).

We're all trolls, laonsite, you and myself included. My troll magic was too strong and had some unintended consequences.

I've mentioned to you that politiflip has been dull. Since the top trolls have vanished there hasn't been anyone around to drive debates and vomit out fake facts that need to be corrected. What's left is just dumb people saying 'you're dumb' and 'no u'.

He may be incredibly annoying but that's just the brains way of feeling pain for having to be put to use. For the sake of keeping the conversation alive I would tell him to never give up and to keep trolling. Imgflipers need his misguided opinions to spark their interest in correcting his bs so they can learn the truth. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be even half as aware and awake as I am today.

He's been relatively active as usual, knocking out the usual 3 comments for 1 reply.
Suddenly there's been a drop in poitical memes, so less comments from us all.
Probably the bad news for Trump makes the propaganda ring even hollower, hard to meme claiming something isn't real when people are getting convicted for it and Giuliani & Trump are admitting to it as if what was done was legal. Those in denial say what they will, but the latest developments are the fruition of what has been happening, and laonsite's POV has been thusly proven correct.

In addition to that, alt right trolls have gotten nastier, desperate distractions fueled by a tightening noose. The ugly atmosphere is chasing people from all angles away, including more reasonable and intelligent conservatives not wanting part of it. What's left are little meanies hissing away.
This is what hapens eventually with all social media, trolls kill it for everyone till finally no one is left and they get bored and leave as well.
