There's several problems with this. First off, a few fringe extremists don't represent the entire party. By that logic, I could say anything about anyone.

There are loons on the fringes of both parties. Ordinary people don't want the president nor his family to be harmed just because they don't like him. That is lunacy. If you don't like the president either a., run for president yourself or b., contact your representatives. Not really. If anyone so much as expressed a simple disagreement with Obama, they were labeled a racist. Every president has had enemies but Trump seems to have a lot more who are vocal about wishing ill will on the president. The difference is that the mainstream press isn’t vilifying it like they did when Obama was president.
