I'm not sure that Trump's election had much to do with party line politics, especially since the other front runner was Mitt Romney, and he's traditionally been far more popular with Republicans than Trump. There were also a lot of Republicans who did not support Trump when he was first elected, but then due to concern over keeping their own jobs decided that it would be best to work with the Executive Branch instead of trying to fight against someone who technically was in their own party. I agree, however, that party line politics haven't gotten this country anywhere. Yes, enough with party politics.
