Trump has an 85-90% support from Republicans now. The last time a Republican had that high of support from his own base, 9/11 happened while George Bush was president.

Very true. I’ve seen many conservative friends of my own, who didn’t like Trump at first, now love him. I’m proud to say I was with Trump from the very beginning.

Everything Trump does is America first. Just last week Trump demands that other countries pay more into NATO and calls out Germany to their faces for paying Russia billions of dollars in a backdoor deal for oil...and the media, knowing how stupid most of their veiwers are, tells their sheep that Trump is helping Russia...they of course can’t explain how, but that doesn’t matter.
reply

Lol....Obama called them out too om their NATO expenditures... And the Germany deal is just not even remotely true.

Pay attention. Trump is weak.

Fake News... The Economy was recovering from the Bush Bust - under Obama... But it was a "jobless recovery". The unemployment and stock market numbers are less important than overall joblessness figures, actual standards of living and income disparities.
reply
1 up, 2 replies
Trumpville? Looks like california to me. Unemployment isn't important? LOL. Good to know the left has completely abandoned the working class.
reply
4 ups
"Unemployment" is a deceptive statistic - because after a short time people who haven't found work "fall off of the rolls" of unemployment statistics. Total Joblessness figures are much higher. So my point is not that people out of work is A-ok...
reply

He said overall joblessness figures are more important than unemployment figures, not that unemployment isn't important. Nice job being dishonest.

Your comment makes zero sense. The economy is much better now than it would be under anyone else. It’s really very simple. Cut regulations and taxes and the economy soars. Democrats wouldn’t do either of those things. I’ve bever seen business owners more optimistic than they are now.
reply

It depends on how you measure the economy. If you use the stockmarket as your metric, perhaps it seems to be so.

But the stockmarket is being artificially inflated - by companies buying back their own stocks - with the money they saved on taxes - not investing for future growth or making new hires.

And this contributes to overall wealth disparity and economic inequality - because the CEO's, boards abd top dogs often get paid in stock options. So having the company buy back itz own stocks keeps their compensation levels artificially inflated - while doing nothing real for the company or larger economy.

Cutting regulations means more corpirate welfare - and less protection for the environment and consumers. These 'EXTERNALITES' - can have dramatic impacts on the health of communities.

When you realize how more than half the country is in risk of financial ruin by a $500 emergency - we are doing quite poorly. Banking and investment deregulation led directly to the economic crash of 2007. And shamefully - very few went to jail for fraud or predatory lending - under Obama - but many should have.

The Republican attitude of serving the rich - has failed to turn around a long-term trend of decreasing wages and living standards, when adjusted for inflation. It goes back to the early 70's (under Nixon) - and proves to be fairly resistant to any changes in political regime.

Richard Wolff is a professor of economics - who doesn't share the optimism of Wall Street or "business owners". I tend to believe his forecasts over theirs.

In any event - the Harley-Davidson plant that Trump campaigned at - is now shuttered. They've moved to India.

The poor spend it...All $90 of it. The top .01%???? They just buy more politicians and TV ad time - to f**k the rest of us. That includes you. And when the GOP passes something BETTER for working and poor Americans - than Heritage Foundation designed RomneyCare/ObamaCare - I'll happily applaud them. But pay attention to the last article I sent you. This stuff is ALL well documented and sourced. The News doesn't become fake - just because you don't want to hear any of it...

sad thing is, that's actually true: he makes stupid desicions just to piss people of (remember the paris agreement?)
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
How was that a stupid decision? That "agreement" was a sham for our country. We paid just about everything for bullshit that did nothing.
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
maybe "stupid" was the wrong word, but it certainly wasn't very usefull (also: the scientists disagree on that nothing part)

The "scientists" who are being paid by big government to push an agenda? Those scientists? I have seen the polar ice caps and they aren't shrinking. There's more ice than ever.
reply
0 ups, 1 reply
what government? the one that let go of the agreement? i know that will come as a surprise for a conspiracy theorist like you, but you have that thing between your ears for a reason. USE IT! and also: you think looking at a few glaciers disproves over a hundred years of climate science?
reply
0 ups, 1 reply
It isn't climate science when the "science" being used is a known lie. They also said the Polar Bears were becoming endangered. Yeah, not so much.

The "scientists" called it global cooling in the 1970's, then called it Global Warming in the 2000's, now calling it "climate change" when they realize that the Earth goes through periodic temp changes; cooling down, then warming up, then cooling down. It's been doing this since the beginning of time.

If you want to believe our planet is getting too hot and humans are to blame, be my guest. But I know that isn't the case.
reply
0 ups
a. give me your evidence (if you have any) for that "lie"
b. global cooling was a missprediction (a lot more papers predicted warming btw) and climate change is just a more accurate term since it's effects arent limited to an increase in temperatur

Lol....a lot conservatives would argue with this meme. Trump isn't conservative. He's evil. Conservative people aren't evil. Neither Re liberal people. They have different points of view. This guy is evil, arrogant, ahabitual liar and quite frankly clueless. If that's "conservative" I feel bad for conservatives moreso now than ever. To be associated with Trump as "conservative"....yikes.
reply
6 ups, 2 replies
I would say that the vast majority of conservatives and liberals aren't evil, but let's be real: some on both sides truly are. I'm thinking of those who encourage, support and engage in violence, assault, harassment, intimidation and even murder to further their goals. Like I said, those people are in the minority, thankfully.
reply
6 ups, 2 replies
Trump HIMSELF encouraged violence - against non-violent protestors at his Campaign Rallies - WHILE they were being assaulted.

Aside from a very few FRINGE dwellers (even amongst the Antifascist community) - who on the left advocates violence...? (And please don't say Maxine Waters - she was encouraging OSTRACISM and social excommunication - for the Trump regime and key henchmen - not attacks on anyone).
reply

All I said was that there are people on both sides who engage in violence and assault and intimidation.
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
I'm not hating-on you. But while it is undeniable that some on the left have gone beyond nonviolent civil disobedience - to my understanding it is individual actions (which may in fact be legally justified, or not - depending on the specific circumstances). By contrast - the right traditionally has used political violence as an organizing principle and modus operandi. Back in 1979 in N. Carolina (before the advent of any active antifa element) the KKK and Nazis came in and shot the Communists who were peaceably marching, killing many. Evidence suggests that they did so with the knowledge and approval of both the FBI and local Police forces. In light of such collusion - antifa tactics were born. I NEVER rely on local police to protect me - or enforce the law.

To the contrary - I expect that they will conspire against me and my rights - and that is based upon a lifetime of experience and activism. This post is an open PROOF BY PUBLICATION.

Nice. Sorry we didn't get a chance to connect when you were around here.

My radio career was always doomed to be still born. But between roughly 2000 and 2009 you might have heard my voice on KPFK.

I even helped IMRU, for a time, in the board operating department. They may argue otherwise. I helped train a dedicated board op from their crew - cause their show was hard to run from a piece of paper, that I wouldn't always have time to study and memorize... (They had an elaborate orchestration.)
