I am not saying Bill Clinton didn’t do great things — but go on YouTube and listen to his State of the Union addresses — he was stricter than Obama in his rhetoric. If you love Bill Clinton but hate Trump on immigration - Congratulations. You Played Yourself. His immigration policy was nearly identical to Trump’s. How quickly we forget.

Aside from the political tone of what the politicians are asserting, this confirms that the tent cities started in 2014. No plan was ever passed that granted anyone any amnesty. Mexicans never had a right to legally enter America to claim amnesty, Cubans an Haitians might. But not Mexicans. In order to sneak into America to claim amnesty you have to come from a country authorized by law to illegally enter America to apply for immigration rights.

https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/humanitarian-parole/cuban-haitian-entrant-program-chep

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/07/16/cuba-rafter-wet-foot-dry-foot-adjustment-act/29911763/

Mexicans never had this type of right.

reply

No that is an accurate statement. There is a “foot on US soil” policy that applies. That policy means that when certain aliens enter the US illegally, the crime of entering illegally is immediately no longer a crime once the alien sets foot on US soil. They can be arrested if they are caught in the water, but once they illegally get to set a foot on US soil they are immediately protected. That means illegal immigration is legal for certain aliens if they make it far enough to set foot on US soil. Mexicans never had this right.

Certain aliens like your Russian self, that because of an outdated response to the USSR can STILL come here and get the works: free rent for 18 months, food, meds, grants to start businesses.... You mean like that, comvrade?

F**k out my face with your thankless bullshit policies which are not yours to speak of, only to take advantage of like the bloodsucking maggot you are, while biitching about those that were already here when your mother Russia was still under a 2 mile slab of ice. Hypocrite.

And honestly? You are misinformed about everything we discuss. When your argument is that it's all ok because the kids aren't being abused(there are clams of them being abused however) you aren't arguing for anyone but your party. This is a human issue. This needs to change. If your fine with it? then cool. I'm not. I never will be ok with this. These families deserve better.

I can understand the sympathy for the kids, hell I don't like it, but you have to end this incentive for anyone and everyone to use children in this fashion. BOTH houses of congress keep playing the political game with this issue.

The site you led me to showed nothing short of a bunch of illegals who broke our laws in a giant holding cage. I didn't see one picture of anyone being mistreated or abused. It was a holding cell. They were not crammed inside of it with no room to breathe and they were not rolling around in their own feces and piss. Looked to me like they had places to sit, lay and move around. Hell, they even have a showering facility.

Like I said earlier, spare me your heartache.

No, you said kids were being thrown in cages and I responded with "no one is being thrown in cages." I said that because NO ONE IS BEING THROWN IN CAGES. A cage is something who put animals into and carry them around in. A cage is something you see in a zoo. These "cages" are nothing more than a setup where they are holding some illegal "immigrants" until they are processed and dealt with. They are not being abused and they are not being held in conditions that are deplorable.

Your ignorance is stifling. If you think for one minute these people are being mistreated, you're wrong. Your hatred for Trump is blinding your ability to think rationally.

When a person or persons come into this country illegally, they're breaking the law. The parents, when caught, go to some form of jail or holding. This is when the children who were brought here by their parents, get put in a holding area (of which are far better than where they came from) and this is the so-called inhumane ripping apart of the families CNN likes to brag about.

If a legal citizen who has children breaks the law, that person is put in jail, away from their children.

If you don't want to be separated from your children, quit breaking the law.
reply
3 ups, 2 replies
The parents aren't breaking the law; their children are being seized at the Ports of Entry where the parents have gone to REQUEST entry; it's adbuction, plain and simple. America is now a nation of kidnappers, supporting concentration camps. The Administration regularly lies to the public, continuing to perpetuate the lie even after called on it. They dehumanize and demonize immigrants, the very backbone of America, and they continue to manipulate the lowest, basest emotions of the worst segment of America in order to continue their sickening authoritarian program.

You are complicit. You and your President are on the wrong side of history. America is sick...diseased...And Trump is the putrid heart of that disease.

False. You really need to branch out from Faux News Trump Regime Propaganda, and actually read the real papers, watch the real news networks, listen to overseas voices, and just go straight to the wire servies if you want it really unfiltered.

This is Trump's policy, created by Trump's regime, and has no comparisson to Elian Gonzales, who was abducted from his Cuban father by Miami-based family members and illegally held against both the child's and the father and their Cuban family.

It was cruel and horrible, and despite the camera trickery of the photo, that gun was pointed at one of Gonzales' kidnappers, who was threatening the child rather than allow him to be taken away.

Your memories are short.
reply
1 up, 1 reply
Kidnapper = mother. Kidnapper with gun pointed at him was her brother who took care of the boy after she died at sea headed for the US. By real news I'm assuming you mean New York Times, CNN and RU TV.
reply
0 ups, 1 reply
Wrong again. His mother drowned on the escape from Cuba. The only relative Elian knew besides her in the WORLD was his father, whom she had taken him from. Her relatives then illegally held the boy hostage.

You have a sickeningly pathetic memory for history that's less than 30 years old.
reply
2 ups, 1 reply
You have an astounding ability not to be able to understand a comment. You basically repeated what I said about his mother. I didn't say whether or not he knew the relatives he was staying with prior to coming to the US, all I said was he was snatched from his uncle. Maybe you will believe the account as written by your gods at CNN. https://www.cnn.com/2017/08/15/world/cuba-elian-gonzalez-update/index.html

"Elian's relatives in Miami refused to hand him over, and then, in a nighttime raid, armed federal agents stormed the home of his uncle and seized the boy. An Associated Press photograph of the terrified child, cowering as an officer in riot gear points an assault rifle at him, inflamed passions even more."

Also held hostage is a an idiotic statement designed to inflame. The mother's obvious dying wish was that her son not grow up in Castro's Cuba. You have an even more pathetic memory for something you read 30 seconds ago.
reply
0 ups, 1 reply
And the child didn't stop crying for his father the whole time. And Castro's Cuba is full of proud, patriotic people...no different from America. Well, other than the fact that they're not run by a bunch of hard-right extremist xenophobes and megalomaniacs.

Gonzales belonged with his father because that's where he wanted to be. The last person in the world he knew...is papa...what his Miami "family" did was disgusting.

Just as disgusting as locking children in cages and separating t hem from their parents at points of entry - before they cross into the US.

These CHILDREN are not taken away because they crossed illegaly; they're taken away the moment their Brown parents attempt to REQUEST entry into the US. You should take a look at the actual news and stop listening to Tucker Carlson's "OBEY FOX NEWS!" mantra.
reply
1 up, 1 reply
I can think for myself unlike those that repeat the mantra of the left and even use their very terms such as xenophobe, which I doubt was in vocabulary 3 years ago. The mother fled Castro's Cuba, her desire was for her son to grow up with better opportunities in the US. There were also questions at the time as to whether the father was a fit father or not. If my daughter died trying to bring her son to a better a place. I would do everything in my power to help that dream come true. That's ehat families do for each other.
You are right, they aren't being separated because they cross illegally, it's because whoever they are with did. Are you also aware that if the parent brought ID and any kind of proof this was their child they would not be separated? Are you aware of the issue of sex trafficking children from South America? I assume that as passionate as you are about the subject of children, you would want to do anything in your power to save even one from such a fate.... except separate them from someone who may or may not be the parent until relationship can be established. Are you also aware that the number of adults traveling with children attempting illegal crossing has tripled this year? Mainly because word has been passed in those countries that with kids you automatically get in because that has been how its worked in the past? Or do you just look at the pictures you are meant to see by biased news and assume it MUST be racism.

FASCISM (N): a form of radical authoritarian nationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and control of industry and commerce.

Opposed to liberalism, Marxism and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.

Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and they regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties.

Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society.

Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation.

Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky through protectionist and interventionist economic policies.
