trust me, our conservative party is more progressive than America's green party.

Just out of curiosity, but how is your Conservative party to the left of even our Greens? Not criticizing, was just curious.

it's called over-exaggerating. there is some truth to it though.

No, Americans hate illegal immigration and we are sick and tired of both parties using our national security for their own gain.

Both parties are raging hypocrites. But in most instances the stifling of progress is a good thing. Moving forward is bad, if it's off a cliff.
Meanwhile there is no point in changing our immigration policies while we refuse to enforce the ones we have. Laws are meaningless without enforcement.

The system being slow protects it from the whims of the moment. A movement must maintain momentum to effect change. Change CAN be good, but it isn't always. And the government should interfere with people and businesses as little as possible. But the current trend is to want government to micromanage our lives, yet believing we can still be free as they do so. The slowness of this process will, hopefully, give people time to come to their senses (although it's been going on long enough that I doubt it).

The literal meaning of progress is to move forward. Forward is not necessarily positive, depending on what direction you are facing.

So if conservatives were so dependent on illegal cheap labor, it would be shooting themselves in the foot to want to end it. Looks to me like the left is more dependent on their vote.

I think it's important to make a distinction between supposedly conservative politicians and conservative voters who elect them based upon campaign promises that are repeatedly broken.

I've been to Washington DC on vacation, and I didn't personally see it, but I still suspect there is a Republican entrance to the Capitol building where you must leave your spine and your balls before you are permitted inside.

Oh hell dude, they have to hand those in to TSA when they land in D.C.

So you don't see a majority of conservatives pushing for and , voting for that agenda? I know you live on this planet, so I know you know better. I will not deny there are some that vote against the measures and they are the main ones responsible for nothing getting done, but it is certainly the minority.

As I said above. However that is the minority, just enough to side with the left to block everything.

George W Bush wanted to grant amnesty to how many milions?
And both openly stating it would land instant new thankful Republicans.

The image vs reality is beyond glaring, and stereotypes parties and immigrants both. The assumption that immigrants are so stupid that they are oblivious to the callous taking for granted exhibited by Republicans is insulting and steers them away from the party.

In the meantime, being given to business interests, the fact that citizens can't be paid low wages and otherwise exploited like illegals causes the party to also take this anti citizenship stance.

Anti (Mexican)immigration goes back a century or so, vacillating with swings in the economy. Witness how it was approached in the 20s, and how it swung when the Great Depression set in, then after.

Now, of course, it's become this rallying cry for Trump & his constituency, crawling out of the Great Recession.

I'm sorry if preference to a temperate climate over a tropical one offends you.

Secondly, if anything, I'd move to Britain. Partially because I have duel-citizenship with there and America, and partially because I want to make trainspotting videos.

Trainspotting? I’m intrigued. What is trainspotting?

Basically waiting around railroad lines and looking for trains. It's much fun in England with the sprawling services and the high speed rail.

It's temperate compared to what we have in North Carolina. It was pretty cold this year, but last year, the year before, and the year before that....
