That's not the argument. The argument is that if somebody killed somebody, the focus should be on the person that killed somebody, not their weapon of choice.

Pretty hard to walk into a school and murder 20 kids with a rock, but a piece of cake with a rapid firing gun. Hence the focus on the gun, it's that simple....

Rapid firing guns? There have never been any "rapid firing guns" at a school shooting ever. And you forgot the defensive component of owning a gun, one that could've speed a kid from murdering 20 kids with a gun.
