Just a review of the new Doctor Who specials, just to get my thoughts out there... | Reviewing all of the new Doctor Who specials:; D-; Didn't feel well put together. The CGI and and Practical effects were okay, but to me at least, everything felt off. To me, this felt like a first draft of a story. It needed major improvements. W EPISODE. It felt like a classic 10th Doctor adventure. Sure, the special effects were cheesy, but Who is known for cheesy effects, which added to the nostalgia. Bonus, the story was great, with a decent Who mystery. My favorite of the specials. B+; ...
Honestly, without that "Bi-generation" bullshit, this was a solid episode. I liked how they tied in TV history into the story and I felt the Toymaker was a threating villain.
The regeneration though...
That ruined it for me. C-; C+; I mean...It's alright.
Not great.
Not Terrible.
Felt like the story could have used some work.

My review of; Overall this movie was really fun. It's like a SyFy channel movie with a higher budget. Good mix of practical and CGI gore. The characters were not too well written but you're here to see a bear eat them. It isn't oscar bait, but doesnt pretend to be better than it is. It's my favorite movie of the year so far (only good one aside from M3GAN). Go check it out. It's worth your time.
