It steals EVERYONE'S wealth. Except for the first few hands that money passes through.

Ducktales della asking the boys | I found an item that duplicates items. We can duplicate money and make ourselves rich! WE already did that storyline in the original series. | image tagged in ducktales della asking the boys | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Money is just a tool to help facilitate transactions and approximate the value of goods/services.

It's like if you're in a desert and you think duplicating buckets will get you more food and water. What you need to duplicate are the things that have stand-alone value.

True. One of the points of that old episode is that the reason why certain pieces of art are worth a crap ton of money like the Mona Lisa is because there is only one version of it and anything else is fake. It's like why a $100 bill is 'worth' more than a $1 bill is because there are fewer $100 bills in circulation. . .or at least that was the way it used to be.

IMO, the only reason to print any money is to replace money that's too damaged or worn out to be of actual use. One of things I do at work when counting my final drawer is to put any worn out bills into a safe drop so they can be taken to the bank and here is the process-

Not exactly a fan of the federal reserve being involved. One would think the Treasury Dept would the one to handle worn out/ruined money. Probably was one of the TD's responsibility until the fed got created. . .

I am also not a fan of cash. One lesson I taught my sister was if you are going to save use silver, gold or other assets that increase in value, never cash, except enough for emergencies. I used this analogy, if you went back to the thirties and left each child 20 dollars, some in cash and others in gold. The paper now would be worth pennies compared to what it would have bought in the 1930's, but the gold would have grown in value over the years. You already know the value of diversification, sadly many do not.

And talking about paper cash, gold and silver. Paper cash used to be a 1:1 exchange for gold or silver coins for the sake of practicality. Paper cash was meant to be an easier way to carry currency. A person could either carry 20 gold/silver coins or one bill that can be exchanged for 20 gold/silver coins. One of the things that makes me cringe is when people come into the store with a sandwich bag full of coins. Twice I've grabbed some coin rolls the store keeps on hand to roll excessive coins in the drawer and told the customer to either roll up their change or go somewhere else without actually saying those words out loud.

Anyway one of the issues with the old and new currency, is that the new system of currency just doesn't have the sense of worth that the old currency did being gold and silver based. I have no doubt a person had a real sense of accomplishment when they got paid in gold and/or silver instead of what we have today.

And I guess that's the point of what people like Woodrow Wilson(a big time socialist) did with the creation of the Federal Reserve and later FDR(another socialist) who started the removal of the gold/silver backing and standard. It kind of ruined the sense of accomplishment and made people start to thing that working just isn't worth it because the new currency is made from trees with no real 1:1 exchange and coins are made from copper, nickel, and zinc. . .big frickin' whoopie-doo!

I have started giving silver as gifts, not just rounds and coins but silver bullets and other trinkets. I think it helps the younger generation to learn about investing.

I started with an IRA when a guy was invited to give a talk at the base. Good move for me, later as a got older, I bought stocks, gold, silver, businesses and land. Having enough to know that I will never go without wouldn't have been possible under any other system. I see the idiots pushing for socialism as lazy and ignorant of how capitalism works. Some of my investments failed, some didn't, over all the system is built for that swing.

Hmm! A silver bullet. What a great gift! Do you have shapeshifters on the ranch?

Democrats under Biden finally adopted an economic plan called Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). They have been toying with it for years. The plan is that if the government needs money they just print or digitize it. The economic morons who proposed this theory knew that it causes inflation but they believe that inflation can be controlled through legislation.

There is a massive problem with leftist economy "experts". They never study history. They never look to see if their policies have been tried before.

FDR legislated prices, work hours and prohibited over-time work. That just worsened the Great Depression.

My biggest question is that if all the government needs to do is print money then why are we still paying taxes? Oh yeah. I forgot. The main reason why Democrat president Woodrow Wilson forced this nightmare tax scam on us was for power and control. Massive spending was second and somewhere down the list was funding the government.

MMT is why we had massive inflation under Biden. The morons who pulled Biden's puppet string even knew it was going to cause inflation but they did it anyway.

And this is why we can't have nice things or even just food on the table.

Then to look like the Dems were solving inflation legislatively, they renamed the Green New Deal to the Inflation Reduction Act. There was noting at all in that bill that stopped the Federal Reserve from printing excess money. There weren't even any price fixes. Just a tax increase on everyone, including the poor (except for people earning between $10,000 and $20,000 per year) and a whole lot of unnecessary spending.
