I worked as a newspaper reporter in WV for 20 years. True Story. Byrd was on 60 minutes and he used the Infamous N word. When they called him on it he left the studio in a huff. Later 60 minutes got a press release from his office renouncing his Klan background. His PR flack wrote it not him. By that time he basically ran that office. I asked him about it and he said Byrd had no clue he sent them the press release apologizing.
That's why there's no audio or video of Byrd ever renouncing his Klan background. He never apologized for it.
Byrd creeped out a movie crew when he showed up on set for a Civil War movie with an 1800s Klan outfit and a Confederate outfit.
How many times do you have to be told, the Democrat Party started and populated the Klan. Lincoln was the first Republican president. Eisenhower who defeated the Nazis? Republican.But of course when does the truth ever matter? TDS! TDS!TDS!
