I know you saw the report of how many were on some sort of drugs to mellow them out, I don't think he had that affect. If anything, it made them worse. The guy that shot up the school in Canada was probably also on drugs.

Those drugs mellow a large percentage but have the opposite effect on a small percentage. Some even list "psychotic" behavior as a possible side effect.

I know, the pattern is hard to hide. The bigger issue is why they continue to let kids take them.

I really wish leftists could stop being such narcissists and actually pay attention to what Trump is trying to do instead of being mind controled sheep of the Democrat Party. But to do that it would first require them to love the country and the ideals that it was founded on. But one can wish. Maybe if enough of them pull their heads out maybe they won't start a civil war that they can't win.

Sure. Not that I'm barking. Prayer is helpful, of course. But we shouldn't stop reaching out. Ya know what's lacking? It would seem the modern Christian today doesn't do what it takes to really get the attention of those we try to bring to sanity beyond logic. They have what it takes if they're in fact born again, having received the gift of holy spirit, but most Christians today don't know what that all entails. Without it God cannot communicate to His Children. God speaks to that of which He is. Spirit. (Unless it's a miracle. Like Moses and the burning bush. But after that Moses got the spirit placed upon him as that was all that was available before Pentecost) To say the exact right thing at the exact moment is very powerful. Perhaps, at times, something only God would know that would penetrate their calloused hearts. It's my belief too many of us are relying solely on our own abilities. Not asking the Father in the moment how to approach this person. We lack because we don't ask right? I know this might be hard to believe but a liberal on one of my memes on this platform a week or two ago after showing his butt in his comments to me and my reproving and correcting him came back and actually thanked me for the correction. I think it was the "doublespeak" meme. They normally just disappear. (unless their an antagonist. You have to cut them off.) But we really don't know the impact we make on others when we speak truth. In love for the one you're attempting to help. Patience is key but love is patient, right? I know our hearts get bruised in the process. I've been at this outreach thing for more than 40 years. Print, podcast, video and on the streets. Hearts heal. They become battle scars that we learn from. You can't take whatever the deceived throws at us personally. We are not responsible for their reactions to truth shared with them. They literally do not know what they do. If you know your bible I'm sure reading this has sparked some verses in your mind. I encourage you to not give up. Take a break when it starts hindering you. Now and then. But don't quit. We get rewards in the next life for manifesting love now. And no wonder. This world isn't built on love.

The way to approach them is non confrontational asking them questions that force them to engage their logic centers. The key is they have to come to the conclusion themselves. Don't give them the answers.

Yes. Make them think. Give them truth imputes. See if they can connect the dots. That is a major component in outreach. So blessed you see that. I can feel you've engaged many that refuse to go logically. They're emotional based. It's common knowledge (I think) critical thinking is greatly hampered by emotional states. Hence, they know not what they do. Easily manipulated. Interesting to me this is coming up in a conversation with you. I covered this in my last Substack post. I think it might bless you.

You're right, I am thinking of a verse and it's Matthew 7:6, where Jesus says, "do not give dogs what is holy and do not throw your pearls before swine". Even Jesus recognized that there are going to be people who do not want to know the truth and will resist it in order to remain in a lie, so it's best to leave them be and just pray for them. At a certain point man will reach then end of his rope, but the Father will not. So I think it's Biblical to let the people go who will refuse the truth no matter how it's presented to them and entrust them to the Father.
I love where you're hearts at because I can tell you care but I do think it's slight naive (no offense intended). You may eventually come to see what I mean the more you engage with people.

You don't know who the dogs and swine are until you engage them. Once recognized, mark and avoid them. The antagonist types. The ridiculers. The evil written of in the bible for us to learn to recognize. Reprove if called for. And avoid. Prior to your verse Jesus' encouragement to each individual is too sharpen your own vision before you go helping someone else. By using hypocrasy as an example. How else would you spot the dogs and swine?

Decisions really shouldn't be based on one verse. It's really easy to rationalize doing that. I sense you're running on fumes concerning being on the front lines. Been there. Many times. The race is a marathon. I've seen many quit. I'm still here. I don't know. Maybe being a Marine vet with that Semper Fidelis programmed into me has something to do with it.
