My Dad's a public school teacher, he isn't affiliated with any teacher's union for just this reason. He's often said that it's for funding the Democratic Party, not the good of the school system.
What bothers me is that there are conservative meme streams, but those often are reduced to parroting policy points and aren't funny. Someone should start a stream that is both impartial and has actual humor instead of preachy wannabe memers.
