Oh Modda, Modda, Modda. Why must you always find the negative. You know how I feel about slavery. I have told you hundreds of times but you want to dig up my family history and accuse me of it. Those ancestors died long before I was born. I don't even know them. I would like to meet them in the next life because they are family and I am pretty sure they understand just how evil slavery was by now.

It is real easy to look at the horrors of the past and condemn that but turn a complete blind eye to the horrors of the present. There are lots of people in this country who have convinced themselves there is absolutely nothing wrong with murdering a baby.

Just imagine how you would feel, minding your own business, thinking life is pretty good so far. And then some "doctor" starts by ripping you to pieces. But before you get shredded, you hear your mom, the one who is suppose to protect you mutter something about this is her body. And you're thinking wait!!!! I am in your body but I am not your body. Why do I have to die? You want to kill me just because I am an inconvenience? What kind of a sick monster are you?

So tell me again what is your opinion of abortion? At least I reject slavery in all its forms which includes socialism.

Republicans got Southern Democrats to "jump on board" with the new Labor Scheme initially.

You know. The alleged scheme that Karl Marx advised Charles Adams to inform Abraham Lincoln, was a great way to build 5 new Transcontinental Choo Choo Tracks. Expand the economy by exploiting Chinese, German, and Irish Labor, and then populate The West.

Civil War was more Cost Effective than Wilberforce's British example, that Marx had witnessed for freeing Slaves 3 decades prior. Going Cold Turkey with Slavery via War, may have seemed a better solution than to implement an apprenticeship program to ease out of it like the Brits and their stepchildren countries like Canada and Jamaica did.

Plus, nobody in the south were going to make a dime off New Railroads, and all the
"Railroad TITANS of Industry" were handpicked to only Donate in the foreseeable perpetuity to the new Political Party on the scene, what with making southern Dems focus on that pesky Reconstruction business and retraining camps.

Just remember that next time

I didn't think Marx had any clout when Lincoln was president. But I don't know everything. That explains why Lincoln nearly destroyed the 10th amendment to end slavery.

But why would Marx care about ending slavery? He hated blacks, but then Marx hated everyone. Perhaps that's just his opinion on how to end slavery if you wanted to end slavery. He probably didn't care one way or the other.

That makes me wonder, did Lincoln oppose slavery just for political reasons and not for moral reasons. Because there's absolutely nothing moral about starting a war for any other reason than the preservation of liberty. Especially a civil war that pit family against family in some cases. Even in Lincoln's case because Jefferson Davis was Lincoln's cousin.

Sure the war wasn't fought, in part, over the transcontinental railroad? I know it was fought because rich people wanted to keep their slaves and that and other economic and governmental representation reasons lead the South to want to secede from the Union. Lincoln was obsessed with keeping the South from leaving.

I had no idea Marx had any involvement with the Civil War. I thought he was too busy, at that time, writing love poetry to Mephistopheles. Well I guess his Communist Manifesto had already been around several years before the war. I didn't think any one took anything Marx wrote seriously until after he died. I guess there has always been stupid gullible people, even in the mid 1800's.

Anyway, this is fascinating. I love learning new stuff. Thanks for this. Ill have to look into this and learn more.

All Good.
Just Recall that Jeff Davis was Secretary of War for Franklin Pierce, created and was in charge of the Topographical Corps of Engineers. Of which later Railroad Co. President Democrat George McLellan was placed in charge of Surveying two of the five Transcontinental connecting routes in the State of Washington, One N/S from San Diego to Tacoma/Seattle, the other E/W from Minneapolis to Tacoma/Seattle. Regardless, the Officers that were part of the Aztec Club of 1847, were predominantly involved as opposition to each other for the spoils of that war, as were immersed in the U.S. Civil War. Jeff Davis wanted the 2 southern routes of the 5 he had ordered surveyed completed first, as that would keep Atlanta as the main Trade Hub, and build it with Slave Labor. The middle route was completed by 1869. The other 4 that were all planned by subordinates of Jeff Davis, took a bit more time, yet were all Completed in U.S. Grant's lifetime.

The Free Soilers that became the Republican Party in Ohio, (Team of Rivals staunch Abolitionists, such as Salmon P. Chase, as well as Ohio Republicans Sherman's brothers, and Grant's father) and Northern Democrat Slave Owner Stephen Douglas and Lincoln maybe wanted Chicago to be the RR Hub instead of ATL, and got it done.

Maybe,
Marx didn't care so much about ending slavery, as he did providing labor for his constituents, and win/win at the same time work for his working men of Europe to Migrate for the work.

It's just so odd how many DEMOCRATS just can't let go of their history of slavery. It's like that trying to relive it or something. Right?

"Imagine, just knowing that a couple of generations back somebody's family owned and abused other people because they were too lazy to do their own farm work?"

NO ONE PERSON AND NO GOVERNMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO OWN ANOTHER PERSON. THAT IS JUST PURE EVIL.

It is evil if one man claims to own another man. Even more evil is oligarchy who, by force, have claimed ownership of everyone living in under their rule. Socialism, fascism, nazism, communism, Marxism and any other form of collectivism first takes private property rights and that includes the right to your own life. You are OWNED by the government. There is no variation of collectivism that does not take private property rights. This is why there is no doing socialism right this time.

Slavery is slavery. It doesn't matter if it is a person or a government who does it.

It's your history.

Democrats in the North did not own slaves.

Is this something new to you?

My history. No. I never was a Democrat. I did make the mistake of voting for Jimmy Carter but that was in the general election and I just turned 18 and I had no clue what a horrible president Carter would be.

Democrats own slaves in every state that allowed slavery. And for awhile that was all of the original 13 colonies. But at the time of the Civil War no one in the northern states owned slaves. It had been abolished in the northern states.

After slavery was abolished in the northern states some states, like Ohio, passed laws that made it a crime to be in Ohio while being black. Other states had similar laws.

And do not forget, the Republican party's entire reason for existing back then was to abolish slavery.

It's a tad bit something of a wasteful (and embarrassing) expenditure of time for someone to make up wannabe partisan hack fabrications and bear false witness when they've literally heard first hand about what it was like to own slaves from their very own grandparents.

No, it wasn't, in fact there were zero, repeat, zero, Democrats in the Confederacy States.

Confederates were, however, all Southerners in the South where, coincidentally, the Confederacy was located. Because math.

Hope this clarifies things.

The Democrat Party was the majority party in the entirety in the United States of America. That includes the North. The Union North. Even during the Civil War.

Because math is a thing.

No, that came with the Immigration Act of 1924, which severely restricted Chinese immigration to the US, adding to a situation started by the Chinese Exclusion act of 1882...

So Democrats revert back to their roots by asking for minimum wage workers. Hah! Thank goodness Kamala isn’t POTUS cuz otherwise there’d be slavery again
4 ups, 2d
What is this in reference to?

I know how our economy SHOULD function but for that to happen we would have to put an end to the Democrat party and sort out the bad Republicans. We would have to repeal a whole lot of really crappy laws. Pretty much repeal any law that Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Carter, Clinton, Obama and Biden signed (or auto-penned) into legislation. Probably take a close look at many of the laws signed by Republican presidents also and get rid of those laws. We would also have to fire all liberal "news" reporters, which is about 99.999999% of all reporters. Because reporting lies as news can have a negative effect on the economy.

The next best thing to that is for Democrats and lame Republicans to get out of Trump's way.

I just block them and spot check the crap they put on my own threads. When I do answer one of the usual trolls or one of their alts I do so to correct a lie and my answer is really meant for anyone following the tread. The lazy ones that post a link I just downvote and move on. If they don't care enough to make an actual comment I don't bother to look at whatever they linked. Obviously, it was not relevant anyway.

Usually, the comments I respond to are very stupid. Modda made one earlier, no democrats in the confederate army, what a load. It's not worth my time to try and figure out why they lie, if they believe the lies or to determine if they are ignorant. Ignoring them is easier, but on occasion their lies do need corrected.

Modda and I have been going at for a very long time. He made that comment specifically for me just to try to get under my skin. He doesn't bother me. As much as he wants to bother me, I just shrug it off.

I'm not sure what his motivation is. I just have fun with him. I even told him once that if we ever met in person we might be friends. Then he turned that comment against me because that's just who he is.

But the others (and they could be Modda's alts, I don't know) I'm just getting bored with.

I get real tired of being asked for sources. They have the same internet that I do. They can do the same searches that I do but they won't and they think it is some sort of victory for them that I'm not going to spend my time doing their job. When someone makes a statement that I never heard before, I go look it up. And then I see what the conservatives are saying about it so I can get the full story and not the altered story that fits the leftist agenda.

I think modda and octavia are one and the same, but that's because they are really similar when they respond to posts.

The games of the left don't bother me when I start a thread because I have them blocked and have to be really bored before I will bother to see who responded. The provide sources BS as you know is just a distraction they use when facts fail them.

I will read a few responses people make to them and their alts but usually I can already tell how they will respond. Most of the talking posts never really change.

"If you took it not just as a comment to you, but one that would bother you, well, then that's on you."

How many times have you told me that you're just here (oh how should I put it) "mess with people". You know that you're here just to poke the bear (so to say). You want to illicit a reaction. That is you raison d'etre.

It isn't "on me" because I don't care. I know you're not serious.

You specifically told me that no Democrats where in the Confederacy. Maybe you told that to BurntFinger also.

"Southern MAGA trope is a familiar standby here. It is not exclusive to you."

So you like to play that game with a lot of people. Well, I never felt like you were just picking on little ol' me anyway.

"he went from generations on the family farm to someone from a military family that spent his years growing up moving from country to country and runs his own corporation which imports goods to sell now, only to go back to the family farm storyline again all within the same week. The same week."

I don't see the problem there. My family went generations on the family farm, then my dad left the farmer, became a plumber and eventually started his own plumbing business, in 3 different states. I've lived in 4 states (8 if you want to count college in Hawaii and serving an LDS mission in the New England states). I haven't been all over the world but I have been to the UK, Switzerland, France and Mexico. I was also in Canada on a layover, if that counts. But I come from a family that lived on the same land for multiple generations. I didn't but my dad grew up on that farm. And I am telling you that story all at the same time. I didn't even wait a day or so in "the same week".
