Biden left Advance weapons in which are being used to kill innocent people. Yet let’s make a big deal over a dumb mistake. Then again: Words are violence. And violent actions are justified. -leftist

No, no such weapons are being used to kill innocent people. They don't just press the red button it's set to go. Training, maintenance, parts that are not available to them.... Oh, and they were rendered inoperable as well

Of course they are. Plenty to use and sell the leftovers at the same time.

Deal was Trump's, in a meeting in which not a single member of the Afghan government that we had spent 20 years crafting was present. And Trump wanted to have it in Camp David, of all places. Released 5,000 Taliban terrorists as a token of good gesture. The fArt of the Deal.

But you already know this.

Sooo...what? That makes it okay that senior members of the cabinet were using a commercially available messaging app on their phones to engage in official business? That it's okay they were all willfully circumventing the law? They were conducting official business on an app that was going to delete messages. They were transmitting classified documents over this app.

Everyone on that chat knew it was wrong and did it anyway. And which is worse, that Trump knew about the chats and didn't care OR that they were doing this and didn't tell him?

And no matter which one it is, it's bad.

If the Republicans in the House or Senate were willing to do their actual jobs, they'd be holding hearings right now. From the VP on down, they should all have turned in their resignations or been fired.

And what are you doing? You're out here making excuses. You're all, "Bu-bu-but Biden did a thing 4 years ago!"

What 'battles plans'? At the end of the day they were all spit balling ideas and nothing was set in stone.

Those missiles were not spitballs that were fired at the Houthis shortly after posting the plans to do so.

That battle plan. They talked about it a few hours before the first strike. And it doesn't matter if they were spit-balling and nothing was set in stone- it was official business. It was classified information (including the name of a CIA agent). It's official actions being discussed. The records need to be secure and maintained.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The top two U.S. generals who oversaw the evacuation of Afghanistan as it fell to the Taliban in August 2021 blamed the Biden administration for the chaotic departure, telling lawmakers Tuesday that it inadequately planned for the evacuation and did not order it in time.

The rare testimony by former Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley and U.S. Central Command retired Gen. Frank McKenzie publicly exposed for the first time the strain and differences the military leaders had with the Biden administration in the final days of the war. Two of those key differences included that the military had advised that the U.S. keep at least 2,500 service members in Afghanistan to maintain stability and a concern that the State Department was not moving fast enough to get an evacuation started.

The remarks also contrasted with an internal White House review of the administration’s decisions which found that President Joe Biden’s decisions had been “severely constrained” by previous withdrawal agreements negotiated by former President Donald Trump and blamed the military, saying top commanders said they had enough resources to handle the evacuation.

Thirteen U.S. service members were killed by a suicide bomber at the Kabul airport’s Abbey Gate in the final days of the war, as the Taliban took over Afghanistan.

You're so gullible you're believing it was Trump's fault. If Trump had a bad plan - he had a bad plan. He didn't give the order. It wasn't his command who looked at the plan and said "Yep this is what we are doing".

What's funny is you're saying "everything is someone else's fault" while literally providing an example of how the situation was someone else's fault. The lack of self awareness is mind boggling.

CNN —

The debacle of the US defeat and chaotic retreat in Afghanistan is a political disaster for Joe Biden, whose failure to orchestrate an urgent and orderly exit will further rock a presidency plagued by crises and stain his legacy.

But a stunning Taliban blitzkrieg followed more than 20 years of US and allied policy failures, misunderstandings of Afghan politics and culture, public war fatigue and the culpability and corruption of the failed state’s leaders.

And while Biden’s political and geopolitical rivals rush to exploit his mistakes, the true magnitude of the crisis can only be judged in the human tragedy of a people again subject to Taliban persecution. And a failure to fulfill the now apparently near-impossible tasks of evacuating all the Afghan translators, workers and fixers on whom the US relied and who now face Taliban retribution would besmirch America’s conscience and global reputation.

“It is a stain on our nation’s integrity and honor that even just a few months ago, we were not meeting our obligation to the men and women, our Afghan allies who served alongside us,” Jake Wood, a former US Marine and Afghan war veteran, told CNN’s Pamela Brown on Sunday. “We owe them the special immigrant visas. We owe them safety, every bit as much as we owe safety to our embassy workers in Kabul.
