My solution is to pass gun control laws that EVERY OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD has passed. And guess what? They aren’t living in a police state dystopia (well maybe Russia and China but the vast amount of democracies with similar gun laws prove it’s not the reason for the police state).

Explain to me why those laws won’t work here.

What laws?

Common sense gun control laws. Take the United Kingdom for example. Under their laws, gun ownership is considered a privilege, not a right, like driving a car. You need a license to own a gun, and it can be revoked for reasons such as criminal behavior. And many automatic weapons are outright banned.

These laws have made it so gun crime is one of the lowest in the world. They haven’t had a mass shooting in 3 1/2 years. And they aren’t in some kind of oppressive regime; it’s a functioning, free democracy (well, Constitutional Monarchy, but it’s a form of democracy, like a constitutional republic).

So why won’t this reform work for America? Explain.
