By easily and readily accessible, what do you mean? Only licensed FFA's are permitted to legally sell guns. All guns sold, the buyer must go through an FBI background check. Some states require a waiting period.

There is absolutely NO gun show loopholes. Any gun you buy at a gun show also has be sold by a licensed FFA and they must go through a background check. That is the law and has always been the law ever since the US government required background checks. Democrats who talk about gun show loopholes are flat out lying or grossly misinformed. They can get away with lying like this because they know you will probably never go to a gun show and so they can get away with their lie.

If you eliminate all of the states and/or cities in America with the most restrictive gun laws then America falls to the bottom of the list of countries with the most gun violence. Why? Because gun laws makes targets out of ordinary citizens. If you arm those citizens, would be shooters would be fearful that you might shoot back. Unlike what Hollywood portrays, EVERYONE, even the most hardened criminal, does not want to die. They will purposely steer clear of committing their crimes at places where they believe their might be people carrying guns.

Oh and here is something you will never hear in the mainstream media. Years ago the University of Florida conducted a survey of all reported uses of firearms, criminal and legal. Guns are used 3.8% MORE to defend life than they are to take life. And that is only based on the number of cases reported where a law abiding citizen defended themselves and/or family. Most of the time not even a shot is fired. There are lots and lots of cases where the would-be murder ran away without a shot being fired by their intended victim and the intended victim just never reported it.

Yes, I totally agree. But the availability of guns is not the issue. It is the insanity of people that is the issue. Instable people should not be allowed to have access to firearms. However, there is a sinister flipside to that statement. Whacko liberals who wet their pants can and have reported very stable people as instable just to take their firearms away from them.

For example, my dad had a gun all his life and never once used it on another human being (and what I mean by that, he has gone deer hunting). I have had a gun since I was 14 and I have never once used it against any other living being. My brother has had a gone most of his life and has never used it against another living being. In fact everyone I know who owns at least one gun has never used it against an human being. Some of those people are hunters and have used them against deer and/or elk.

So what you are saying is because of a small handful of whacko leftists, me, my dad, my brother and everyone else I know who owns guns should be punished???

I really question if I could use a gun against someone else in self defense. I don't know if I could live with myself if I took another person's life, even if he was trying to take my life.

Nope. Guns are not easily and readily accessible or the assassin wouldn't have got off a shot. The Trump supporters would have shot him when they saw him climbing up on the roof with the gun instead of telling the police.
