A couple years ago, I made a meme pointing out how the $5 Foot Longs at Subway would be $12-14 because of minimum wages going up. And look at where we are today

Engineering Professor Meme | RAISING MINIMUM WAGE CONTRIBUTES TO HIGHER INFLATION ON THE CONSUMER SIDE WHILE MASSIVE PRINTING OF CURRENCY DRIVES INFLATION FROM THE BANKI | image tagged in memes, engineering professor | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Long-term high inflation is a key goal for socialist democrats. It's a proven method to drive out the "middle class" in society to just have the super-rich and everyone else as poor. It's well-known socialist revolution economics.

There is no "massive printing of currency." In fact, Biden has had the Fed raise key interest rates to slow borrowing and spending. As a result, the US Dollar has strengthened.

Oh, and there are no "super-rich" in Socialism, nor poor. There are no class divisions.

Please travel to a socialist country, like Cuba, China, even Russia and visit where government officials live, then visit where the common person lives.

You probably aren't aware of Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae loan programs and how they prop up Treasury bonds. Even for your own personal investment sake, please learn about these financial loans and the QE problem.
In the past 12 months, the U.S. Fed has "printed" over $6.5 Trillion dollars. Starting in July of 2023, the Fed introduced their own digital currency, allowing the Fed to digitally create currency. Inflation is caused by the massive unbalance of M2 funds.

There are no Socialist countries, those are Autocracies. They're basically Plutocracies just like ours? Shocker.

Cool, you seem to know what Fiat Currency is but then veer off. Big shock there too.

The Fed is testing its own vers of PayPal? That's nifty.

We could end the minimum wage talk with a simple equation:
minimum wage = cost of 1 bedroom apartment(or cheaper) monthly + Grocery list that meets minimum nutrition requirements for a full month + cost of a month of cell service with a mid-range provider(basically not T-mobile). That would be the BARE minimum

In that case can we finally LOWER the minimum wage?

It is funny that the people understand the square cube law, but don´t understand that minimum wage and living wage work similar. Increase of minimum wage is fuel for inflation.

To your simple equation! That would be easy, how easy, Oliver Twist easy. During the Industrial revolution (and long before that) the Employer had to house and feed their employees, sure the cell service is new in the equation, but since clothing was also covered back in the day that should not be a problem.

We can also literally solve your wishes by reverting to the age of slavery. People were feed and housed.

The unions will lead us to where the unions lead us away from. I see contacts with employer obligations to feed their employees in the future, since some places these are so called "benefits" already.

We progess in circles...

ya I wasn't thinking about it much. Just make the minimum wage a livable wage that automatically changes without needing to pass a law.

NWO solution? 15-minute cities where you will own nothing and be ordered to be happy.

I think is best we forget minimum wage ever existed and stop government from controlling wages.

Uh huh, yes. Tell us again how giving poverty wages to working people is a better solution than paying the executives a few million dollars less.
0 ups, 12mo
That's not how it works. A few million divided by hundreds of thousands of employees is pocket change.
It's a simple fact, if you raise minimum wage, the companies paying wages will simply raise their prices by the same amount. Instead of helping anyone, this becomes a pay cut for anyone making over minimum wage.
