somehow paper ballots for the first 240 years worked fine and the results were counted by the middle of the night on election night, but in 2020, with Dominion electronic machines, poll workers were not able to do this. In GA, for the first time in U.S. history, the poll workers were told to stop counting at 10pm and go home for the night. Of course, they forgot security cameras were still recording them as them secretly came back in without the election officials to count ballots, deeming that ballot counting invalid, and Brad Raffensperger illegally changed the mail-in ballot exceptions, which is ONLY authorized by State legislators not Secretary of State office.

I watched it happen and said the same that night. It was fishy and unlike any other election before.

So you want to go back to a time that literally never existed in the United States...

What never existed? A time when it was all paper ballots?

A time in America's history when there were no mail in ballots.

Sometime before the civil war, but you are confusing what you call mail in ballots with absentee ballots. Absentee and military balloting were reason based and vote tallies executed by proxy or official documentation for army units in the field. To infer that revolutionary war soldiers mailed in their ballots is ridiculous.

I'm not confusing them - absentee ballots are a subset of mail-in ballots.

These have existed since the colonial period, so there was never a point in US history that someone wasn't submitting a ballot through the mail.

Absentee ballots weren’t “mailed” in the revolutionary period. They were sent by proxy. Regardless absentee ballots cast by a registered voter are not the same as unsolicited mail in ballots to every voter.

More and more people don't trust election results. Steps should be taken to assure voters that elections are free and fair.

So trusted the results of the 2016 election?

It is the very reason for the electoral college which is to prevent a few states with larger populations, like CA and NY, from basically choosing the President.

Maybe you don't live in the U.S. or didn't in 2016 when Hillary made this claim that she won the popular vote nationwide (as if that's some excuse), but didn't win enough state electors to win the Presidency.
2 ups, 6mo
Of course she did. And everyone else. Except Trump.
Where do you live that you are unaware that that's what happened?

Hillary didn't try to set up phony electors like Trump tried to do.

In case, you just arrived in the U.S. after 2016, yes, the Democrat representatives objected the election results and claimed the electoral college state electors were not legitimate. Then the media and Democrats lost their minds and forced America into a 4 year long "Russian collusion" phony hoax.
1 up, 6mo
Objecting to electors isn't the same as trying to install phony electors with forged documents like Trump did.

And he was ready to spend $millions in taxpayer money just to falsely prove he won the popular vote.

From ABC news -> "The lack of strong confidence in the country's ability to conduct an honest election crosses partisan lines. Among Democrats, whose party leaders have been struggling to legislatively protect what they believe to be deteriorating voting rights across the country, 30% say they are very confident in the U.S. election systems overall. Regarding independents, only 1 in 5 consider themselves "very confident" in the nation's elections." - we gotta do better than 20% confidence in our elections.
