Also to touch on part of your previous point "until just now"... Policy dictates that sitting US presidents cannot be indicted. So they had to wait until after 2021 to indict him.... even if they had evidence 2017-2021.

The other 3 indictments stem from incidents after 2020, so naturally those indictments would've had to happen at some point after that. I would understand some also might be hesitant on immediately indicting a former president.

Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are not exactly the kind of leaders, I would think, conservatives would consider respectable. It does little to raise Trump’s integrity to a conservative to receive recognition from them and it certainly lowers Jackson and Sharpton’s integrity. Not that they knew how much of a racist Trump was because he was nice enough to donate to them for simply the recognition. I mean, you’re certainly not arguing that Trump agrees with these two men 100%. That would be a blight on your own integrity.

It's completely and utterly pointless to simplify it but at the same time people stop listening if it somehow seems like it doesn't really effect them (even if it does) or it's too complex. And even more pointless, it seems, is trying to explain the complexities of the problem to people who just...and genuinely do... want to be left alone and not have to worry about any big changes coming their way. WHICH is not too much to ask for for the average person... but at the same time, if you don't want anything to change; how can you be upset when things don't get done?

Who go very quiet when people talk about money but are the ones ranting and raving about the cost of living right now and being rather SUSPICIOUSLY quiet about the solution to it. I mean, Trump really started to gain traction when the Bernie or Bust people joined his little political cult. They may not care for his politics, even those not in the BoB group, but they like that he "causes trouble" which is enough for them.
