The economy is a force of nature. It works the best when it is left alone. It has problems when the government thinks it can control it. It does not matter how many times the Democrat repeat that stupid line about the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer. That ONLY happens when a nation moves farther and farther to the left. But if they don't do anything then we are on our way out regardless. If they keep printing that just moves us closer and closer to total economic collapse. The dollar will be worthless and no one will be able to buy anything.

A thriving middle class and a suffering poor and rich does not make for a good economy. A healthy economy is one that is left along. The main point here is, I'M HIGHLIGHTING AMERICAN HISTORICAL TAXATION. Taxation policy that grew America at an unprecedented rate.

In 1969 $200,000 was equivalent to $1,590,000 in todays dollars. In no way is ANYONE making 1.5 million, a slave! Realize, money under the 1.5 million, is taxed at a lower rate. Not all their income was taxed at 91%.

For instance, if today someone is taxed at 28% for their first 1.5 million, then taxed at 50% above that cap, it makes ZERO difference to their lives. By no stretch of the imagination, are they slaves. Their kids still go to the same private school. They still go on the same vacations and own the same things that they currently own.

There are multiple ways/alternative policies that can be used to reduce taxes for them. If this person were to own a business, maybe they could hire 3 people and reduce that 50% tax burden above 1.5mil, to zero. Options like this can be used to put people in jobs and also grow their business so they can make even more money.

Again, Dems and Repubs had no problem with this policy in America, for an extended amount of time. IT ONLY BECAME AN ISSUE WHEN IT WAS REALIZED BLACK CHILDREN WOULD GET 70% OF THEIR COLLEGE COSTS PAID AND MINORITIES WERE GOING TO ENJOY THE SAME BENEFITS WHITE PEOPLE ENJOYED.

The real conspiracy shake-down in America has been the use of racism to kill the middle class and put unprecedented wealth into the hands of a few.

Right now the World Economic Forum and the largest Investment firms (like Blackrock) have created a social credit scoring system called ESG. If your business is in need of financing, then your ESG score must be high enough.

And how this insidious scoring system works is that in order for you business to get a high score then everyone you do business with much also have a high score. If they don't then they can bring your score down.

ESG stands for Environment, Social and Governance. It is responsible for Bud Light having to put the transgendered dude on their beer cans. It is responsible for Target having to sell transgender clothes for children. It is part of the reason that Disney is hemorrhaging cash. It is the reason why Google, Facebook and Twitter (before Musk) censored conservatives. I don't know if ImgFlip is big enough to be concerned about their ESG score. I think they are run by liberal tyrants and that is their problem.

This is called Stakeholder Capitalism and it has absolute nothing to do with capitalism. It is fascism.

These large corporations are forced to comply to thee rules if they want financing. Their ESG score has become more important than their customers. And in a free market it is the customers who are the ones who keep the business in business. Consumer driven economies are the freest and most prosperous.

But these ESG controlled businesses are falling apart. Conservatives are saying, "go woke and go broke" but it isn't necessarily woke. Woke ideology, ESG, liberalism, etc all comes from the same source.

The WEF (and this is on their website) has gotten most of the world leaders, including Joe Biden, on board with their plans. The want to Build Back Better, which means collapse the global economy and replace it with a global fascist government. It is called the Great Reset and this is where Biden got his campaign slogan from.

If you brush this off as a conspiracy theory, you are ignoring what is already happening. It is no theory, it has already started. That is why Biden is printing money excessively and driving the value of the dollar down which is the cause of inflation.

Even some of the MMT economists have worried about inflation but they think that if inflation happens the governments can control it.

Property taxes are obscene. It has tried to be justified by saying that it goes to the schools and that the schools produce a better educated citizen. It did at one time but not today.

Why are parents who choose to home school, then forced to pay property taxes? Why are childless couples forced to pay property taxes? Why are the elderly, especially on a fixed income, force to pay property taxes?

Arizona has tried to do one thing right. There was a bill in the state legislature that would have eliminated property taxes on people who were 65 and older. That's a start but the bill failed. However, they do allow you to write off property taxes on your state tax form.

Taxes don't just pay for schools. They also pay for roads, plowing and all the other town things that need to happen.

Many states allow parents to take their tax dollars to private schools. I do that myself.

VT has a cap on property taxes, with up to an $8k amount reimbursed for low income people so they can stay in their homes. Elderly people on fixed incomes can stay in their homes because of it as well. I got thousands back over the years on my property taxes when I was not making a lot of money but worked my ass off to have a nice home. Again, allowing more freedom for people.

NH property taxes are horrendous! They have no income tax so the property taxes are through the roof. A typical NH homeowner pays about $8-12k year in property taxes. I know people who are paying over $15k a year. In my old home town, there are homes with property taxes over $100k. Retired people on fixed incomes either have to downsize or move out of the state. Again, republican control.

Taxation is not theft. Income tax is not slavery. You're not being realistic. Taxation has to happen if you want a military, roads, bridges, fire departments, education, everything we have as a society. Property taxes are a bad way to do it. Income tax is better than property tax. You can't get blood from a stone. Old people on fixed incomes would pay nothing. Would you prefer zero infrastructure? No roads, and returning to using horses to travel on paths through forests? Take an axe with you each time you go out so you can cut the trees that have fallen across the paths. Plan a 15 mile trip a week in advance.

Again, if you are against an increase in min wage you are for big government. Nearly all republicans are against increasing the min wage and for instituting a false economy far removed from a free market.

Not everyone thinks like you and NEVER WILL! Keeping the minimum wage low will make the other side just as extreme and force them to give handouts to the working poor. We already have a min wage. Increasing the number of that minimum, REDUCES government by getting more people off handouts and has been proven to not cause businesses to close. GDP of states who do so increase faster than those who don't.

We pay more than twice the cost per capita on healthcare and are ranked the worst in outcomes of any first world nation. Simply crying "Socialism" and burying your head in the sand to change, is helping to make our healthcare worse.

Lincoln wasn't as great as everyone thinks he is but he was a great president. He was the 1st Republican president and his and his party's entire reason d'etre was ending slavery. He did that but he did it by some very unconstitutional methods. And part of that was getting the 14th amendment passed which nearly obliterated the 10th amendment. And he didn't completely end slavery. He ended it in Southern States who fought against the union. There were parts of Virginia and Louisiana who helped the Union army and Lincoln "rewarded" them by allowing them to keep their slaves. Read the Emancipation Proclamation. It's all in there. Later on the 13th and 14th amendments finally ended slavery once and for all. But then the Democrats rushed in with their Jim Crow laws to segregate and belittle former slaves.
