I wonder if anyone has gone under gender reassignment surgery to become a hermaphrodite? I doubt it because it is just like you said. People with gender dysphoria don't want to be a new gender, because no one knows what that looks like. They want to be the opposite of what they were born.

My thought was they are doing it wrong. Don't bury the word, invalidate the word. Make it so that no one gets offended by it, so that that word has no power over anyone. Instead of making it the worst word on the planet, make it the most ineffective word on the planet. In the 70's blacks made up a racial slur against white people. The word was "honky". White people just didn't care. The word pretty much stayed in the 70's and never left. Then they made "cracker" popular but the same thing. White people didn't care. Neither word had any power.
