Only thing crosses my mind is if Americans are legislatively barred from using natural gas it can be sold to foreign nations I assure you they ain't gonna quit pumping it out of the ground.

This is already done with electricity. The coal powered plants sell "surplus" generated electricity to Canada when the wind turbines are spinning good.
