To be fair, Jimmy Kimmel was playing a real person, so it technically isn't blackface.

I get the minstrel shows from around the turn of the last century. The blackface they wore back then was cartoonish.

But I just do not get the problem with a white or any other color guy putting on dark makeup to look like a black guy. Nor do I have a problem with a black or any other color guy putting on beige make up to look like a white guy.

So what's the problem? Are there any black people on ImgFlip who can explain this to me? I've seen Eddie Murphy in whiteface and I watched the movie White Chicks. Those movies don't offend me as a white guy.
