Trump didn't change his last name. His ancestors did, as did many immigrants who came to America in the last couple hundred years. Bernie Sanders' father changed his last name before Sanders was born, but no one calls Bernie, "Gutman", that is, I'm sure, unless he had won the 2016 Democratic Nomination and continued to be anti-establishment instead of bending the knee to the establishment as he eventually did.
