The left has made all this happen by destroying the family

Willie, that is getting down to the basic problem itself. They are all a bunch of lost & brainwashed sheep. Regrettably, many kids were never given any structure. You can see them roaming the streets in gangs, being part of the self-righteous antifa and pretending that they are doing good when they burn, loot, and destroy things that are symbols of past that are synonymous with their sad past. And, worse you'll find idiots here on imgflip, so stupid that they will defend our country being razed by criminals. You are a pretty deep guy! -v

Children can and do pray in school, it's just not mandatory anymore.

If god hasn't stopped the rampant child abuse that goes on in the catholic church, what make you think he's going to stop a school shooter?
8 ups, 2y,

No, we just want to let God into the schools. Doesn't have to be enforced by the teachers.

Amen, Lokiare! When a coach kneels to say a prayer and all the alleged do-gooders come down on such a minor incident, y'know the a$$holes have put the Troll in Control.
8 ups, 2y
AS long as it does not hurt others let it be. They kick God out but now let pedophiles in schools to groom kids. The left is sick.

Then send your kids to a Catholic school. Hell, I was in one until the fourth grade. And yeah, you obviously can't take God out of Catholic schools

Also, religious extremists do exist for the record. Believing in God doesn't make a psychopath any less of a psychopath

Nah, I want my kids to get a Christian education, not a catholic one.

Then send them to a private Christian school.

So, how?

Freedom of religion didn’t mean no religion, it meant freedom from religious government.
0 ups, 2y,

Exactly. And making public schools, or government run schools, teach religion would risk religion being government control.
1 up, 2y,

Teaching religion and allowing a coach to kneel and pray after a ballgame aren’t the same. Where is a public school teaching religion?
0 ups, 2y,

“Where is a public school teaching religion?“

No where. Still the issue is just a way to dodge the more important topic of gun registration and licensing.

While, yes, a coach should be able to pray anywhere he wants, certainly Joe Kennedy should win his case, it appears politicians are advocating teaching specific moral doctrines in public classrooms, which is just not the intent of public education.

Again, I’m firmly against the government teaching me about my religion and twisting it for their own nefarious means.

Who said anything about gun registration? I’m against the government teaching religion to, but I’m also against prohibiting it from school as well. If you want to bow your head or kneel and pray or wear a cross or the Star of David to school that’s ok.

That was quite intelligent!

Pretty much everyone is saying the answer to school shooting is God in schools.

I’m not buying some coach’s PR stunt is why children suddenly snap and gun down their peers and teachers.
1 up, 2y,

I don’t think what the coach did is related to school shootings in any way. It’s does seem that as society as a hole has drifted further away from religion and family values we become more uncivilized and see increasing atrocities.

I’d argue that the reasons people become uncivilized are due to the pressures of conformity. And while religion is seen as a great comfort to myself, I understand that not all congregations are as supportive as mine is. And that too can feel like conformity to those unlucky few. I think the biggest mistake a church can do to people seeking help is judge them.
1 up, 2y,

Conformity is a great way of unifying and controlling people, giving them a common cause.
But conformity also leads to ossification, causing innovation and progression to go stale, eventually rotting the society from within.
0 ups, 2y
I guess it’s too bad the left demands nothing but conformity. One of the many reasons my country, the USA, has always been exceptional is it values debate and discussion and an exchange of ideas. Something the new left abhors.

I see it as reverse development. Religion provided the basis for larger groups of people to gather and live together with a shared understanding. Belief and faith literally formed the basis of all civilization. Whether it be ancient Egypt, Greece, or the Asiatic dynasties. As those accepted norms are disregarded and violated we fall back into the behavior that dilutes our ability to live together.
1 up, 2y
No, growth of clustered agriculture in agrable land which other readily available resources which later lead to/facilitated/necessitated centralized organization did.

Religion is a tool that has been utilized to give the masses a commonalilty in order to control them, it is not the foundation of a developing society.

There is so much unabashed irony in the partisan hack nonsense you spew.

You really can't get a better script? Perhaps one that might kinda apply to me and what I said for once as opposed to claiming it applies to someone else whom you claim is me (I saw TWO yesterday, how many do I miss?) on another meme totally unrelated to the meme at hand anyways?

The left has warned for decades that Republicans would overturn Roe v Wade.

The right has warned for decades that Democrats would abolish the Second Amendment.

Who was the alarmist that strawmanned their position to get what they want?

My former party.

Republicans.

The lost me when that happened.

The hissy fits thrown by the left for not getting their way and promotion of intimidation and bullying to achieve their ends that they can’t achieve through voting are the drivers in their desire to pack the court, remove the electoral college and attack free speech that’s where they lost me and many others. The former parties are dead. The New Democrat party is progressive socialism and anti American. The New Republican Party is populist and pro American.
0 ups, 2y
Populism is what you’re describing for the Democrat party.

It is not nearly as populist as the Republican party.

And I agree that populism is not in anyway an agreeable position.

The difference is the so-called “lefts” populism is actually no where near as absolutional as Republicans. They aren’t drawing up legislation banning meat, gas, guns, white people, men, etc. Regulations? Sure! But regulations are not inherently a bad thing. Nor are they restrictive on the individual. Do they effect the individual? Again, sure. But they aren’t preventing you from getting those resources.

Are they against the free market? Absolutely yes. But have Republicans really been pro-free market in the last decade? I’d argue no.

The break up, belittling, and disparaging of the nuclear family has hurt the most. I believe that the reason their is such an emphasis on transvestites and transgender is the loss of the patriarchal family! Before there was a Fauci there was real apolitical science. We were taught self-preservation and preservation of the species were the first 2 cannons of life. Obviously, we were put here to propagate. You can do anything you choose, but continuance of humankind is our main goal.

Yes, the dismissal of the importance of the family unit is a tragedy.

According to "What Can the Federal Government Do To Decrease Crime and Revitalize Communities?" from the U.S. Department of Justice, children from fatherless homes account for:

Suicide: 63 percent of youth suicides
Runaways: 90 percent of all homeless and runaway youths
Behavioral Disorders: 85 percent of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders
High School Dropouts: 71 percent of all high school dropouts
Juvenile Detention Rates: 70 percent of juveniles in state-operated institutions
Substance Abuse: 75 percent of adolescent patients in substance abuse centers
Aggression: 75 percent of rapists motivated by displaced anger.
1 up, 2y
Thank you for those statistics. It would seem that many on both sides of the aisle would use them to help the nuclear family survive. But... no that doesn't fit their agenda on the left and the cowardly Republicans just let those psychos run wild with their pronouns, grooming, CRT, men having babies and what's a woman crap.
