Ok, what is the problem? Stricter gun laws just make sure that people who have guns are actually responsible and not mentally ill... people who are responsible can still have them. And sure, you could protect yourself by killing the shooter wiht a gun. But if the shooter didnt have gun in the first place, nobody would be injured/killed, instead of having multiple people injured/killed
