Per capita rates is a whole 'nother beastie, however, and that's why Alaska has the highest violent crime rate of any place in the USA, and that's with most of the state in effect in lockdown most of the year thanks to an elongated winter of a more severe sort. Hate to see what they'd be like if they were as warm as Florida, as bad enough as Florida is.
