Christopher Lynn Hedges (born September 18, 1956) is an American Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and war correspondent specializing in reporting on America and the Middle East.
Hedges is also known as the author of several bestsellers including War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning (2002)—a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for nonfiction books. I Don't Believe in Atheists (2008) and Death of the Liberal Class (2010). His most recent book, written with cartoonist Joe Sacco, is Days of Destructions, Days of Revolt (2012).2
Hedges was a correspondent for two decades in Central America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. He reported from more than fifty countries and worked for The Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, The Dallas Morning News, and The New York Times during the years 1990–2005.1
In 2002, Hedges was part of The New York Times' team of journalists awarded the Pulitzer Prize for the newspaper's coverage of global terrorism. He also received the 2002 Global Award for Human Rights Journalism from Amnesty International. Hedges taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University, and the University of Toronto.

Thierry Meyssan, born May 18, 1957 in Talence (Gironde), is a French writer, president and founder of Voltaire Network. He became known in the 2000s as one of the leading proponents of conspiracy theories about the September 11, 2001 attacks. He is now based in the Middle East, where he is close to Hezbollah, as well as the Iranian and Syrian governments.
Thierry Meyssan is the grandson of Colonel Pierre Gaïsset, UN military observer and chairman of the Israel-Lebanon Armistice Commission. He is the son of Michel Meyssan, former councilor of Bordeaux and close to Jacques Chaban-Delmas.
Raised in the midst of the Catholic bourgeoisie of Bordeaux (his mother directed the interdiocesan works of the Aquitaine region), he was active in his youth in the Christian movement of the Charismatic Renewal and showed great interest in religious questions to the point of continuing studies of theology at the Orleans seminary.
