This reminds me of when Trump was roundly mocked by the lamestream media after saying that renewable energy sources, windmills in particular, were prone to providing insufficient energy on a regular 24 hour basis. Remember his less than eloquent rant about having to tell the wife that they can't watch TV tonight because the wind didn't blow?

Fast forward to after the election, and here in Taxifornia, a pretty credibly green state, our state govt is telling we Taxifornia citizens to restrict when we run dishwashers, and clothes washers/dryers (any appliance that uses more electricity than a toaster) due to a lack of consistent electricity being supplied by our renewable sources.

Once again, Trump proven right, and the media never admits they were wrong.

I think what you might not understand about the implications of this disinformation governance board is that it spits directly in the face of the 1st amendment. Sure it's under the guise of correcting Russian disinformation but they won't even clarify exactly the extent of authority they are claiming. And from what they have released, it should be abundantly obvious they are planning to govern what can and cannot be said about the government on the internet and in the media.

Yes. What most people don't realize is that this disinformation governance board is not new. And I actually hate it that conservatives are comparing it to the Ministry of Truth in 1984. Why? Because 1984 is fictional. But also, 1984, though fictional, is actually based on historical events specifically of communism. So the Ministry of Truth itself is a fictional version of something real.

Whether it is communism, socialism, or straight out NAZIism, controlling the populace through propaganda has always been key. And again it is not old, China today is doing this as their CCP government controls the media and all the narratives. This is what Biden and the Demonrats are attempting to do.
