what about the start of world war 3?

Yeah, I mean, the plan is to kill a ton of people and submit the rest. I have had to leave aside the idea of preparing for starvation and war, even though I know full well the consequences of not doing so. I, as of right now, don't see a way (unless God says so) that a Christian could trust in God, and go live in a bunker somewhere, or keep himself alive out of fear. It feels like I would have no trust in Him. Christians are meant to die, they are meant to burn.

They'll be leaving before it gets bad, according to Predispensationalists. Get airlifted out in the Rapture leaving you behind.

Yes, according to dispensationalists. However, that theory does not match in anyway to the role of the Christ follower in the bible. Christians are meant to give up their lives, not to saved at the moment and experience no pain. We are to burn and share the news.

True Christians are the bride of Christ, and scripture is clear we are taken away from the Great Tribulation of Revelation, not beaten up bloody. That doesn't mean we won't endure small t tribulations and trials, but with the sound of a trumpet and a shout, the church is taken out of the world. The church is not mentioned again after Chapter 4 in Revelation.
So many dominoes in prophecy have fallen in the last 10 years, time is truly short.
As for hoarding food or other things, communists always use the same tactics, disruption, dislocation and destruction. We're seeing the disruption now. We'll be ordered to move to shelters and camps where govt can "care" for us, illegal immigrants will augment the military forces by moving them into our vacated homes where they'll plunder our things so there is nothing to return to and then they'll select people for destruction, threats to their power and random for the terrorizing effect.
The Bible says those who endure will be saved. Do whatever it takes to keep your faith intact.

Sorry, but you need to read revelations again. It talks constantly of the church being patient all through revelations and the war on the church.

lokiare, you know I have the highest level of respect for you, so please understand that I'm not trying to pull anything here. Read Revelation 3:10 (each of the 7 churches are description of the various stages of the church for the last 2000 years+/-, they also describe the various states Christians find themselves in) To the church in Philadelphia- "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth." The Laodicean church is the apostate church of today. There are so called mainstream churches that are teaching there was no crucifixion, no resurrection, there is no hell and that God will welcome His unrepentant enemies into heaven. We will make heaven here on earth, God does not control the earth, mankind does, Israel has no right to be in the Holy Land and all kinds of non-Biblical heresies. This is the "falling away" in 2 Thes 2:3 Then 1 Thes 4:16, 1 Cor 15:52 written by Paul describe the rapture (snatching away) of the church. In Matt 24:31 Jesus Himself describes the extraction of the church. True believers are not condemned to suffer the wrath of God, or why did Christ have to die on the cross?
The church is not mentioned from chapter 4 to the end of Revelation, but the saints are, and the focus is on Israel and reckoning all things with that nation. Though there are more verses that apply in OT and NT, a clear key is that the Saints return with Christ for the final battle. In order to return the church has to have been taken up. There's more regarding the wedding supper of the Lamb etc. but imgflip is not the ideal place to discuss it. Hope this is helpful.

There is a difference between the tribulation (which means difficulty or trial) and wrath. If you read Revelation carefully, you'll see that a lot of the bad stuff that happens is not attributed to God, then at a certain point God's wrath boils over and he pours it out on the earth.
The bible clearly says when Jesus comes back and its at an eclipse.

Would like to know your verses. I read Revelation 2 to 3 times a year (I read the entire Bible 2-3 times a year, 8 different translations in all). At the end there is no more sun or moon as God and Christ provide the light in the new heavens and the new earth, is that what you are calling an eclipse?

Part of it is in the gospels where they ask him three questions about the temple being destroyed, when he will return, and when the end is. You can read them and it makes it clear that he comes back and gets everyone when the sun and moon go dark. There's only one mention of that in Revelation.

Sounds like Matthew 24. Much more to it than that. Bottom line is if you are a follower od Jesus Christ, there's nothing to be worried about.

If you are a follower of Jesus then you are promised pain and suffering.

There will be trials and tribulations, but those are not the Great Tribulation. If believers are destined to suffer the wrath of God which is the Great Tribulation, why did Christ even die on the cross? Just beat us all to a bloody pulp then say come on in to My Father's house. Christians are are also promised inexpressible joy, peace like a river, mercy, forgiveness, Gods blessing and a whole lot more good than bad. Best to read the Bible for yourself than to take someone else's description of it. I know, I've been reading 5 to 10 chapters a day for the last 30 years or so, and I'm still floored by what is revealed with each reading.
If you are thinking of the martyrs killed during the Great Trib, those are people who come to Christ after the Great Trib starts. God doesn't want anyone to be lost, so much so that he gives everyone a chance right up to the last minute. The choice is up to the individual.

Jesus himself said the tribulation started when the temple was destroyed.
The tribulation and the wrath are separate. The tribulation is brought on by man kind. The wrath is God's anger being poured out.
God sent Jesus to die on the cross to save our souls, not our bodies. The Bible makes it very clear that all Christians will suffer and be persecuted and many will be killed.
I read the Bible yearly. Some parts I read much more often.

The church is taken out of the world when? Not before we prove our faiths to man, not before God is given His due glory.

I agree, this will happen soon. However, I am not sure if this is the end times. People in the world wars and later have had much better reason to think this. Of course, Jerusalem became its own nation in '49.

48, but minor point. Christ said no man knows the hour or day, not even the angels or Jesus Himself, only the Father knows.
I could do a real deep dive on this citing scripture, history and recent events assuring us time is short, but this isn't a great venue. Jesus made it easy, "Watch" he said for all of us. So read Romans 1, 2Thes 3. Peter, Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Timothy for starters. The Great Day of Judgement has been foretold from the beginning. The convergence of so many prophesied events is more than enough proof, all starting with Israel 1948.
There's a group in Israel ready to build the third temple, everything is prefabbed and could be completed in a year, they have everything needed to reinstate temple worship and sacrifice as soon as they have a Temple- all in prophecy. And get this, Islamic leaders support rebuilding the Temple on the Temple Mount.

Alright. Anything more notable that is different from times of the past (that tell us it is close).

Realize that another significant sign is apostacy, falling away, in the Church. There are strong Churches who are true to the Bible, but more each day are putting more emphasis on CRT, Social Justice and Climate Change than they are on the Gospels. Churches are shedding the doctrines of God for the doctrines of man faster than we can count-even the once staunch Southern Baptists have fallen away on the national level.

They need to read the bible. I've heard their explanation and they have to have 3 different raptures and all kinds of convoluted thinking to get to that. In reality the bible is pretty clear the rapture will happen after the tribulation which started with the destruction of the temple mount.
0 ups, 2y
Not sure of the "third" rapture. Christ calls His saint with a trumpet and a shout- the rapture where those who are dead in Christ are resurrected with the saints that live. The Second Coming to earth is very different than the rapture. That is Christ returning to earth in glory with His saints.
